We don't know currently but a lot of people have speculated since the beginning of the series that it's either someone we're never going to find out about like he's probably fkin dead or a deadbeat, or he's probably involved in the experiments in some way

I’d say it’s pretty unlikely. If that theory is true that means he must’ve tested a lot of different subjects and I’m not sure he would pay close attention to each of them that precisely to be able to recognize Anya
