I'm guessing he is suffering from chronic pain due to an injury, I have chronic pain on my hip due to nerve damage and fissures in my cartilage and boy let me tell you there is way better and cheaper stuff than you can take than weed. (is just fiction I know, but I think is useful information if you are interested) Your specialist will give you the ideal doses and adjust it to your budget, nowadays is being carefully prescribed drugs that we're used for anxiety disorders and epilepsy to patients with chronic pain and they seem to work well if you control the dose you take and talk with your doctor to reduce the chances of addiction and overdose.
If you have chronic pain I advise you to always try to go to a specialist first to use a "safe" and controlled CNS depressant

I HATE KHAOL SO MUCH!!!!! I can forget all the things that happened, not only him sending River to his death but all the times before that he punish, choke and mistreat him while they were together. He was harsh and cruel with River since they met

Whenever I read Mangas with parents and children relationships, I always wonder.....how many children these mangakas know?
The way they portrait the kid's personalities, thoughts, actions, the grade of independence, and emotional control they have doesn't seem realistic.
It's fiction, I get it.....but, do they know how kids work?? Do they at least know the difference between every age group??

Well since you already know that it's fiction, reality obviously doesn't apply here. Unless the author intends for a realistic approach of a child, it will definitely be shown.
However, if that were to happen, we probably wouldn't get any pov from them. Usually mangas about family, especially children and their parents, you would want to see things from both sides, so the child's pov and the adults. Realistically, that's not possible because during the situation of any random family going through something rough, we obviously won't be there watching what that child and their family are going through. We also wouldn't be able to hear the thoughts of those people.
Therefore, tv dramas exist, books, novels etc so we can see those types of things. The mangaka purposely gave the child unrealistic personalities and emotions for stuff like feeling sympathy for that character.
Mangas are clearly written from a characters pov, therefore we see things like their thought process, growth, emotions, true feelings and personality. It's unrealistic but we can either relate to that character because some of us may feel the same or may understand that character more because we can see their exact thoughts and emotions. I suck at explaining shit but like basically.....don't try to understand it lmaooooo, it's the work of fiction, it's not meant to make sense.
As you can see I clearly gave up because I'm too damn lazy to continue typing this and trying to explain anything makes me hungry :) so imma go eat now
