Tbh this original story has completely changed from the novel! Examples of such are that Baotolt was never an actual mentor character and the existence of Daisy with Garhan didn't even happen. Fun fact in the fight with Thunder King Garhan, Han bin is supposed to lose his left arm and barely manage to execute the heavenly sword that Baotolt could use. And when Garhan asks how? Han bin just shrugs and says "he just did it". To which Garhan bitterly laughs before turning to dust. But as you can see none of that happens in the webcomic. What I can tell you that might happen following the novel is that Omphalos comes back in the body of a very handsome man, with a charismatic and goofy personality but he's just a nasty snake underneath it all, he tries to recruit our heros into his unit, especially for Han bin with the promise of sending him back home. I barely remember but I think Omphalos ambitions also lie in taking over earth which is eventually revealed to Han Bin and crew. Omphalos creates a new legion of angels and honest to God Latna turns into ruins with people submitting to Omphalos and eating wild dogs he sends through this food system for the people's prayers which provide him divinity and it's just a massive war arc between the last remaining forces of Latna versus Omphalos and his angels. All the goddesses work together to provide strength to Han bin in divinity for the big final battle.
Cant even lie that sounds like buns I hope the manga does not follow that at all. I feel like this fight right where we are in the manga should be the final battle, the thought of Han Bin and co letting omphalos live even if he is handsome/charismatic sounds so out of character for everyone.
Ngl... That ending is just so round-about. After a climax like this (what's happening in the manhwa right now), starting up another "peaceful" time and then another "climax" is just tedious. We get that Omphalos (or whatever) is a scheming deity but that ending is pushing it way too far, just going around in circles. I feel like what's happening now is the perfect final arc.
Oh well, we'll see!
