They "failed" because there is probably something Zhenya did like disobeying orders from the nation so the people in charge died as crowd control. So the Bogdanov people are the only ones alive to keep the mystery of Anastasia alive. Zhenya was the bomb they were looking for all along.
I feel like the author read ORV and then got obsessed with historical romance and they went, "what if I want my gay historical story as complex as ORV but with game mechanics lol" and made us explode our minds
Heeso is highly mentally unstable. If Taekyung knows he's that unstable, he should've signed him up on therapy immediately. Instead, he tried to sell that codependent relationship on him because oh no, he's going to kill himself...
No wonder Heeso blames him in the prologue. Taekyung's sponsor route didn't work and also didn't communicate his intentions to Heeso. He constantly closes up and sold ideas in the unstable kid's head.
In no way I'm defending Heeso with his antics, he did terrible shit and continues to do shit. But still, all of it could've been avoided if he just made it straight from day one.
No matter what the outcome is, I kinda hope Jaekyung loses as character development. If he reaches his lows, maybe the plot can leverage and redeem him at least
I swear this is the rarest pairing i love in something but it's so hard to pull off. In Red Mansion tho, its perfectly seasoned with poison so well like the ones in fine dining where they will intentionally serve you poison for the experience.
