i also agree that the translator probably wasn’t TRYING to come off as rude or homophobic and i dont think the tl notes ruined the chapter.... but using the word ‘gay’ to describe anything negatively IS rude AND homophobic, no matter how normalized it is where you live. trying to defend your actions when you are wrong instead of apologizing makes you really seem like a bad or ignorant person.

honestly. and seeing fellow members of the lgbtq+ community trying to back up homophobia is sickening. normalized doesn’t equal ok. placing negativity behind any sexuality is wrong, end of story. that doesn’t even mean bash the tl, most ppl just want an apology tbh.
the translator is so out of pocket. its infuriating and its not your “job” to bash and SPOIL a work for future readers. the rude, obvious TLNs all over the place mid chapter gotta stop. it ruined my reading experience tbh, but i still love the story and gorgeous art. Get well soon, translator...
To be honest, as a native english speaker, I can easily read over grammar and small spelling mistakes. It’s not a problem for me, and I don’t care about lightsabers or not VV. People who don’t pay need to be grateful (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
