The harem tag can pretty much make even the best of novels into a piece of crap.
Yeah it's a something that must be tread upon with care but if you ask me it should just never be a thing I hate it when the girl he loves gets side casts for some slut who he's met for a day, happened with primordial blood I dropped that (poor gu girl) same with Peerless martial god that really upset me. I've never found a harem novel I've liked, well maybe some of the game genre ones but most of those ones are just plain sex where it doesn't matter
