at first i got a bit bored because it felt like it was dragging on too long unnecessarily, but after finishing it, i can honestly say this is one of the best romances i have ever read. despite the plot not being anything particularly noteworthy or overly captivating, the emotions and actions of the characters are portrayed so well. it feels very genuine, and the drama doesn't seem "dramatic" if that makes sense... the conflict doesn't present itself in an exaggerated or showy manner, rather it feels like it came from the author's experiences and innermost thoughts. it's like taking a peek into real peoples' lives and feelings, raw and true to the human conscience.
