just can’t get past the age gap tbh
This might comes off as double standard but if a teen has a silly one side crush on an adult, I don’t mind but definitely not the other way around. To begin with, I’m already not a fan of high school romance although it’s between two teens. especially one with sexual content that may or may not getting it on at school. it feels weird to even watch two fictional teens at it my moral is that I don’t support underage people doing it or date so soon when they must focus on their study and future or become an adult first. which applies to fictional media as well. I tend to look for mature romance of two adults at the age of 22-25+. however, sometimes I do really like a title about HS romance so I have to endure being called a weirdo and hypocrite by myself. still teen x adult relationship will always be weird and wrong ughhh (romantically only wise), it shouldn’t be romanticised/normalise.
yea i was rly put off by most HS romance bc of that too. Just watching two teenagers getting at it- ugh. I’ve gotten used to it, but I still find it weird as well! (Personally) Yea if a teen has a crush on an adult, it’s def different bc it may come from the naivety, admiration, etc. but as an adult you should know to take a step back bc you know better. TLDR: i agree teen x adult def shouldn’t be normalized. My favorite romance tends to have its couples around that same age range too bc of the mutual understanding that typically comes with it. we’re all human in the end, so i think it’s natural to have exceptions even to the things you dislike ^^ u may rly like the execution of a particular work
I need a second volume right neow. I loved this (and the Initial D reference)! It was indeed very refreshing. The setting is different as it is in a driving school. It's very clear that the leads are adults, and I liked how the leads communicated healthily and didn't allow any misunderstandings to persist. The romance felt very natural, and the art was just *chef's kiss*. So beautiful. It did kind of feel underwhelming, though, with nothing much for me to take home really. What was that dumb plot point with the ex coming back... Seemed unnecessary to me. This story didn't need more drama. The author could've expanded on Yaotome (the ML) literally using Chiba (the MC) for his manga... But still a good read.

leonardo leonard (minus the goofy name) is so fawing hot
