i don’t get why the author just mentioned the gay guy who got married and tried to act like it was healthy? i get the pressure from society to conform to expectations but like… isn’t trying to pass as straight just out right denying your identity? could you really have a happy marriage just ignoring that part of yourself?
okay well i thought about it some more, and yeah he might not be the happiest. but ig it’s not really his fault because the parts of the world still don’t accept gay people all that much. he just chose to pretend to be “normal.” BUT STILL the fact that he encouraged gon to go and get married too rly infuriates me omfg

i agree. it’s very difficult or impossible for gay couples in japan to get married and have children. plus the societal pressure of, “ you have to do these things or you’re a failure”. i can see people genuinely wanting to, or being forced to want, a family with kids and not being able to imagine doing that as a gay man. it was pretty icky that he acted like everyone should do what he did, but maybe that’s part of the story? he’s so deep in this idea he can’t see any other way to be happy?

right! it could be that’s just what the author wanted to convey. i found it weird, and i’ll probs keep finding it weird but yeah. that kind of mindset is just so ingrained in certain ppl that guys like him r born. i suppose that in a perfect world, he wouldn’t have to endure the social pressure and he’d be able to be himself freely… our world is not that yet unfortunately
i had to re read chap 1 and 2 back and forth cus i was so confused about him being the dog and the timeline ☠ and im still confused as to why he’s a dog

why is no one talking abt how kardi could be potentially remembering their past life?? at first i wanted him to remember but then that would mean he’d also remember the sad moments… so i changed my mind but omg
