Yes, the test is lying, not the Emperor. I think previously the redhead paid people to say she's infertile? Or perhaps the tests were wrong, that's another possibility. I feel like everyone thinks she's infertile because they think she has had sex with the emperor before. I doubt the emperor would lie about her being infertile, there is no reason for him to lie.

I just read this from another comment HAHAHA. Apparently the empress' test was switched by the doctor that tested them because he knew that if a candidate is infertile she will become the empress and it was his daughter who was actually the infertile one (who is also one of the candidate). He just switched it because he didn't want his daughter to be the empress cuz it would be hard for her ig. In short the empress isn't infertile

From what i read in the novel the empress really isn’t infertile but she isn’t pregnant either but as the story progresses lucio tries to court her more and they have more nights together (u know what i mean(๑･◡･๑)) and for rosemond she became infertile because of the flower and perfume the empress gave her
