40 years is so long, affording recovery for that long is not easy. So both Ho's mom and dad are basically rich people. I'm just thinking why not one of dad's family/friends in the U.S. tried contacting the Nungdolmae village, it's upsetting. If he lived there for a year, someone with some sense should have tried contacting the village to tell them what's happening to him, in case he left a loved one there who wanted to know. It's a bit strange. I'm just glad he was able to reunite with Ho before he dies himself, and that Ho now know what's the reason he didn't have a father.

And then he went into the coma for 2 years the when he did wake up he had no memories and a body that needed to relearn a whole lot of things anew.. noone is tp blame, its unfortunate but life is just tragic for some people..
I recently read about a irl story of a couple in late 1900s. The guy was from India and the girl was from Germany or something. She came to India, met the guy and fell in love but he family called her back sp she had to leave. The guy made up his mind, sold everything and bought a bicycle on which he travelled from India to Germany.
