Well based on the setting of this manga, yeah. It's a medieval and simple things like a tiny scratch could ruin the life of a woman. Not to mention depending o her age she could be considered out of the marrying age
You are confusing attraction with romantic feeling. Being attracted to good looks is natural, having a specific preference in that attraction is just preference. To Love this is all secondary. As you start loving person for what he/she is when you first fall for them.
I can actually testify to that. Pretty much have the same preference in women myself. In my late teens I was doing sports and was aquainted with a girl, she was pretty much like this mangas female lead (now looking back, to the creepy point alike!), the only difference would be pitch black hair. So with all her features to me she looked stunning beauty. But with all that there was no love, attraction yes but not love. If I felt that feeling I wouldn't hesitate to confess it eventually, I'm pretty much an airhead in this things. But there was no true feeling behind it, IDK it might sound strange to some. Being honest person I dont just go after attraction alone, but indeed there are some people who think attraction is all that matters. But truth is, that love is the most improtant in a relationship, for so many reasons that can be explained in words and so much more that can't be explained.
Not to mention, people who love bad sides... love has no weak points! So have some confidence ;)

In psychology, sometimes victims of sexual harassment, both men and women, try to make themselves believe (They lie to themselves) that all is well, that they are exaggerating it, that it isn't so serious, that they can move on for themselves because they don't dare face the consequences that will have in their lives admit that they are victims of sexual harassment.

I'm sorry, what I mean is that you are not properly using the word boring, it's not an exact synonyme of "uninteresting", you can't deem a subject as boring. Someone's psychology can't be deem boring. The meaning of boring has nothing to do with closing one's mind. Well that's it for the tedious lexicology.
Now, it's just not true that all fiction (or manga) have this approach on rape victims. I mean the "rape and revenge" topos has many, many iterations (and that's all about the victim blaming the agressor to the point of wanting to make them pay with their own hands). Considering that it is speculated that a large majority of rape cases will never be brought to the authorities, unfortunately it is true to real life that in this day and age most women and men would still rather cope with the issue by themselves.
Let's put this in context, this is a story set in Japan, where they do have a very persistent rape culture and insidious mysoginistic preconceptions. I don't think the author believes in her MC's thought process herself, in fact I'm pretty sure this story's purpose is to denounce these types of behaviour, that are, unfortunately, commonplace in Japan. It's not about closing our minds but pointing out how social conditioning does have an influence on victims' behaviour (even from only two chapter it's clear that the series is about showing us some sort of social sample through the representation of the school with it's caste system and the whole behaviourism theme).
Considering this is, in fact, an 8 volumes long series, there is plenty of room for the victim to realize she is in fact a victim and then take action. If the story started with her already taking action against the abuser, the narrative would lose it's societal criticism aspect ╮(￣▽￣)╭

It's true that I'm being a bit critical of the story that has just started, it's just that it has always angered me that in most sexual crimes, the victim feels guilty in some way, and sometimes, even the society blames the victim.
And it doesn´t improve the thing, that puts the social point of view on the "sex" and "virginity" of people as something that makes them see or feel "superior or mature"...
I don´t like it when they sell sex so easily and vulgarly, I don´t say that it is not realistic, I just don´t like it.
I guess they are defending that pretty well, in this manga.
The story and drawing is pretty good.
But it bothers me that the author has added so much fanservice, practically the only reason why the protagonist is attracted to his childhood friend is by the physical (Seriously, she wasn´t developed anything of her character, she is only the childhood friend of the protagonist, a violent tsundere, with big tits, and that's it). And I hope that the author doesn´t make the same with the actress, at least he have developed her character quite well, and she feels more "real and beautiful".
I don´t dislike the fanservice or the ecchi, but I don´t like that they put it as the only reason to fall in love or be attracted to a girl.
Another complaint I have, is that the protagonist complains that the girls don´t see him as a "man", because they aren´t scared by being seen semi-nude by him.
This complaint is as much for the girls as the protagonist:
They're saying that a woman only sees a man as a "man" when there is a chance that he is going to violated her, REALLY?
And because you think someone won´tt sexually harass you, does this allow you to harass him? (I mean how the childhood friend treated him at the beginning) REALLY?
