Not awakening doesn't mean she doesn't have any powers, It means that she won't have control over the powers she'll get and that it would be easier for another demon to steal her powers and declare themselves the demon king. This was kind of explained on the first couple of chapters
Not only that. Her powers are threatening her health. You know the fever and coughing up blood. As an awakened demon king she won't get killed by her own powers going out of control.
I only read to a couple of chapters I don’t find the ml charming in anyway shape or form in the beginning yea somewhat but he’s not giving what he’s supposed to give

I low-key upset he ml not the red hair cuz I’m tired of seeing blonde fl and ml it’s get boring the only ones that don’t get boring is the black haired ones just something about them it’s refreshing to see a red hair with deep blue eyes
They have a such better dynamic in the novel though the manhwa has erased at least 20 of their interactions that all sort of build up to the romance, like Luminas was meant to be with her when she went to go see her childhood friend in her past life and would protect her when he tried to choke her. He was also meant to be with her when the water spirit appeared and would escort her back
