It was the artist. Not the author. People forget this was originally based off a novel. The artist also changed their twitter. The whole thing came to light in 2018. People were calling out again earlier this year and are now bringing it back up again though im not sure why

Yes. They used to be under the name _leafan_ who did kpop artwork and the pedophile content. That's my understanding of the situation anyway. A few comments down there are people posting the twitter thread that explains it more
