
Still like the story, but what's the fucking point ? He was already leave the effing country. You could argue that "he would miss the orphanage", but seeing that it had closed would have been enough.
And the emphasis on the "they were commoners" was heavy.
This whole backstory seems like some notes they found and they decided to throw it randomly in the plot.

I like how she doesn't tell him about the land (since she doesn't know he wants it) and just like she did with the castle, she wants to invest in it and cultivate it. So even if by the end of the day, it's the place the ML wants and holds dear as it's the only memory left of his mother, it's also her own place, that owns and grew with hardwork
A well known love affair is when everyone around them will know that they love each other, but not them ?
