The crown prince kind of sucks. It isn’t about getting stood up for a date. His subjects are being murdered/need protection and he’s dangling that over the head of mc, who is working really hard to ensure they remain safe. He is letting his personal feelings effect his ability to rule. He is not only making mc uncomfortable in general, but he’s making his job a lot harder.

The whole thing was f-ed up. Azusa is messed up to begin with, and I feel bad for Kaede for having to make the decision to give up his fated mate to stay with Asuza because he doesn’t want to cause Azusa pain and follow in his own father’s footsteps. The whole thing’s screwy.
I’m really happy that they had an actual open and honest conversation about their future together. I really like the two of them together. I do not feel like he’s cheating. I feel like they’re in an open relationship. And Laila even said he’s free to do what he wants so long as he comes back to her.
