In Indo especially (where I'm from), because a big majority of the population is very religious, we have to go by the rules that have been made. Like a male always has to do what a traditional male has to do, and a female has to do what a traditional female has to do. If I asked someone here about gender roles, no one would even think of mentioning something even remotely similar to what's portrayed in the manga. I mean, for gods sake a hash tag along the lines of "no feminism" was trending here a few days ago.
