i didn't really like how unfinshed it felt :/ it's a happy ending and all but i wish we actually go along with sylhan through his bridge project but oh well. the romance was romancing so i guess i'm fine with it

a bunch of stuff happens and sylhan gradually gets his memories back, he escapes from lister's territory and goes to gjord's. there, they just plan a rebellion against the current khallak(?) duke and it works and sylhan becomes the duke. gjord killed lister (implied), they didn't kill the duke though iirc? they left the chancellor alive as well but kept her son as a slave pretty much. nothing happens after that though, they just go over their memories of how they met and how sylhan became a slave.
tbf, throughout the entire novel/manhwa you can see that he has the "i'm too noble to be this lowly" mindset. the story unfortunately doesn't tackle slavery, and it's instead used as revenge. i don't recall sylhan mistreating him (i've already forgotten the details lol, so sorry if im wrong), he treated him like a normal servant, just a captive one to hold something over the chancellor

this absolute excellence went to check the scans' sites and they said they're working on the 2nd volume so hopefully it releases sometimes soon. raws are up on ba/to for those curious to see how it ends
