There's definitely countless stories about the former and how two characters end up being together despite the obstacles, however this story gives readers a new perspective about the one side character who's only reason to exist is for the development of the main couple. At least those are the vibes I'm getting. Definitely feel bad for the mc but I hope he's able to get his character development
