that was such a random reveal. it seems like the author was shifting from making the ml the owner of the account to making it his friend, and now it turns out to be the ml. this was poorly executed
I think it always been hinted towards the ML, no? The friend problem with our MC is different. While the ML is always a fan of MC since MC started working as copywriter with that specific account. I think the author just want to trying to misdirected it, but it always been clear that it was the ML, never giving any suspicion to the Friend that he was the account owner

chase (ml) is pretty violent and unpredictable at first, and josh (mc) is often the victim of those outbursts. but this story is nothing compared to the really toxic stuff from "kiss me, liar". it's a really nice story!!
still, there are some pretty intense scenes (mostly fighting etc.). the story gets real cute real fast, but also real dark, too. as any dominant alpha ml, chase also has some deep rooted trauma
