I know where you're coming from but Yuri has his reasons. No matter how mad I get at him everytime I reread the scenes where he spoke his true desires out, I realize how lonely and sad he is. He close up his heart in order to protect himself for all his pain and suffering. What they both need to do is calmly sit down and talk to each other. Face to face and not running away from their problem.
