First thought it was senseless dominating sex but I like the horror aspect and mystery in the story. Kay is a bit too naive imho but I actually like the characters, even Zigriel.

ML always falls back into his shitty behaviour towards MC as he always uses his power to degrade and control him. This can never result in a healthy relationship and it's exhausting to read.
But that's yaoi 101 tho. All that, followed by redemption. The end.
In my mind the alternate universe just shows the difference in power in their relationship. Every time I read the dialogue between Chang-il and Mr. choi it gives me the chills in the most unpleasant way. Chang-il is just a sex doll no matter how 'nice' he is being treated for the two seconds he mustn't spread his legs for his (vomit) daddy.
Maybe the AU chapters were just created to shut up the readers rooting for a happy end for those two characters.
I mean, how uncomfortable can a side story read be? This one definitely is.
