i think the set up was great up until she reached the academy and started being involved in all this arts and culture dealing. i understand that that’s how she plans to gain control of the future progress but it’s sorta boring for me right now. like i’m not here to read about art revenge, i need her to plot someone’s death already

sorry these spoilers aren’t that comprehensive because i read this novel like months ago and this is straight from memory. okay so zhen bei wang the ML seme wins the rebellion and tries to win back our soft boy MC. however MC is traumatized and continuously ignores his attempts at winning his love back. he’s repeatedly cold to our ML who proclaims his love for him and even tries to make our MC jealous.
MC tries to kill himself and fails and a doctor helps him start to recover his voice and he starts talking to his friends but ignores the ML.
okay i forgot a lot of stuff in between here and there but apparently MC is part of a special bloodline that were previous dynasty rulers and his cousin finds out and takes him back to his family far away. Our seme ML goes along with him back to his family pretending to be his guard and wears a helmet so he won’t blow his cover.

Yes she’s an older person raising a child helping him grow as his guardian or you can say teacher or parental figure although she isn’t his mother she raises this kid like an teacher or parent would do yes i would see it be very weird for a grown person who raised someone as their own or teaches them especially a young child as the male lead is then to turn around and date him is very weird
yea i can totally understand that! i just don’t agree with the mother part. i think MC has a hard time seeing the ML as a romance interest too but I guess we shall see.

i was worried like everyone else that the manhwa would cast arjen to the sidelines so i went to a spoiler discussion. some are alleging that the manhwa is very different from the novel and won’t focus on romance but family relationships. i’m really hoping this is true because if this turns into a cliche romance it just loses 100% of the appeal that it has developed
