So, I know this is an unpopular opinion because everyone, at least in the comments, ships Nishina and Nao together, BUT sorryNOTsorry I'm still sticking with Taichi.(づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ
I rooted for them since the start and I will stick with them because this is a fucking realistic portrayal of a homosexual relationship.
That's not to say I don't want Nishina to end up with someone. I HOPE he gets his own happy story because he effing deserves it. ヾ(☆▽☆)

Okay, there's not denying that the seme can be a bit of an ass. For instance, making the uke clean for him and cook, like all the cleaning. BUT he didn't really cheat on the uke, guys. They weren't dating. They aren't dating, still! Sure, the seme probably shouldn't have gone to a call girl, but Akira acted as nothing happened which did send mixed signals to Katsumi, as he was frustrated, but obviously not sexually frustrated as he couldn't do it with the call girl.
Both the uke and seme could stand to some change, in my opinion. Like, must the seme do all the work for them to get together? I don't know about you but I dislike impasse ukes who don't do anything but pine after him.
Obviously, the seme isn't wonderful either. He's a jerk, but he doesn't deserve all the hate being sprung on him. ALSO, I'm pretty sure he has a sadistic streak in him which explains why he lied, but that doesn't justify his bad actions.
MY CONCLUSION: I hope they BOTH get their shit together. (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜

So, many people are criticizing Taichi's decision about 'wanting more distance' but really think about it. The mangaka is providing us with some realistic homosexual relationships. Of course, after seeing his mother react that way is going to bring doubt. Also, if you hadn't noticed, that was Taichi's way (pulling back) of originally handling his problems. The mangaka is showing us his growth and how they are going to overcome these obstacles.
Also, people are always whining about how yaoi isn't accurate and such, but when we do get yaoi with some form of realisitic situations, people still complain! P.S If you don't like one of the main characters then how are you even reading this?!?(╯°Д °)╯╧╧

Although it's realistic, Taichi has NOT changed. He's doing the same things he did before. Sure, he wants to change. But he hasn't taken that leap of faith yet. He's still letting his fear and doubts and insecurities control his relationship. And he keeps breaking Naoto's heart all over again. IMO, i think Naoto's done everything he can to show that he's in it for real. I think it's time for Taichi to trust him and himself and their relationship. I think it's his turn now.

In simple words, Taichi is a brat.
He wants his toy badly that no one can touch it. When they get closer to it, he 'wipes' it so roughly.
And when his mom says don't keep playing with the toy, he, although slightly reluctant, says ok toy we need a break and tosses it away (and not for the first time, mind you)
Sadly the toy is a human being. Not just a thing.

DelusionalDoll,I totally agree with you. Changing something innately within oneself doesn't happen overnight. By Taichi saying,"Nao is the only one for me" and thinking of their FUTURE together doesn't sound like wanting to break up. It sounds like he still hasn't learned a new way to make sense of things but he wants to and he wants to do right by their relationship. He also said he doesn't want to be like his parents but he doesn't really have any other point of reference.Besides, Nao loves and understands him too much to give up. This is very realistic and not just for a homosexual relationship but for any couple facing discrimination, whether it be race, religion etc. and wanting to protect their partner.
lol Ren can’t possibly be jealous like he kissed someone else?? or did y’all just conveniently forget that? Kyoko can damn well smile with anyone–including Sho if she wants. love this manga but Kyoko better not apologize for anything since there’s no actual romantic relationship between Ren and her. that being said, i’m excited for what’s to come.
