can someone analyse what happened to haoran when chihiro left the house after that fight and he just stood there waiting at the door?? i mean i know what happened, but i'd like to hear thoughts/analysis on it
that part also made me feel a lot for him. i think that's a trauma response from him. he only became fine after chihiro agreed with him that he's got no where to go. he needs chihiro and he needed chihiro to need him too. that simple detail of him standing there waiting with so much dread made me feel so . god this author is great at writing gut wrenching shit

Hes content just loving Shengge in secret and he already accepted the fact that his love is unrequited. Like he’s 101 percent convinced that he’d never end up with Shengge (he also thinks that Shengge doesnt know he exists). Shengge on the other hand doesnt know chen wan is in love with him so he finds him suspicious at first, then this turn into curiosity. Bro would orchestrate a chasing arc (turning Chen Wan’s unrequited love into mutual pining)
It’s angsty and the romance is slow burn. I highly recommend the novel bc it’s so damn gooood
