i don’t understand these people who’re saying that they’re sick of this arc like the only plausible reason that comes to mind is them hating ‘romantic love’ altogether or they’re just jealous and are so salty that they don’t wanna admit it
for me this is peak story writing like maaaan i am envious of them too and almost always i hate when romance comes to these action mahwas (or just anything with action genre like animes or books). not cause i hate the romance genre but because romance is so forced and the story doesn’t flow naturally. tho here it just weaved into the plot so naturally and smoothly i’m in awe. like you see that this is also an important plot point as all other things. we saw gongja changing as in character development and all with the romance. i applaud the one who wrote this cause surprisingly this arc just made me more invested in this story. this was just another manhwa for me in the beginning but as the arcs went by this has a special place in my heart fr.
damn i’ve ranted enough but i must say wHEN CAN I HAVE A ROMANCE LIKE THEIRS fr i love them as characters individually and them being together, they’re fr such a good match

lol like this is really well done. i'm not madly in love with it but i big appreciate how author respectfully wrote a love story between 2 equal humans. the thing about shounen romances that pisses me off normally is that the girls are made to just be brainless infantile ornaments that act as a foil for the dude if they aren't fully the damsel in distress trope. these 2 be equally human and equally badass. they respect each other, understand each other, and neither of them seems forced. it's good ass writing.
also @ corpse: it's really not that long actually. murim arc was 54-83 so it's 28 chapters. currently this arc is at 21 chapters. /it's really not that long./

Yes true but think of it from the perspective of someone who expected this to be an action adventure story and then get to this arc which is whole other genre from the rest of the story. It’s really well done romance but it’s placed in a story where for a, lack of better words, doesn’t belong so people who were expecting themes like the arcs before it all of sudden get hit with a otome level mystery romance, something they weren’t expecting and for some didn’t want at all, it could feel really long n especially with the update schedule this story has. Idk if I’m making sense so I’ll just say it like this: imagine you’re reading a GL fluff with zero smut and you really like it and all of sudden next arc is BL with a bunch of smut. You’re surprised by this sudden genre change and it’s really well done but that’s not why you’re reading the GL fluff. Even though this random BL smut is in there ands it well done you want to keep reading the GL fluff that you were originally reading and wished the BL smut was its own thing instead of being in the GL fluff. If I put it that way does it make sense?? I went dramatic with the example and idk if that made it worse or not

the example is definitely an insane one lolol but that aside I really don't feel like this was super romantic?? definitely not on the otome level. So personally I can't understand why some readers have a giant problem with it especially considering that the novel readers have said multiple times that this is actually an important key point for laying the rest of the stories ground work and that skipping the arc would leave you confused later on. I don't know. I'm the type of reader who accepts a story as a journey the author has laid out for us and I just follow it expecting there to be a plausible reason. (and again this really didn't feel like some girly different genre painful cringey gushy romance to me. been damn tame. there was more murder than kiss kiss fall in love.)
I get being a little thrown by an arc that seems left field to you and not your cup of tea but if it contains important ground work....maybe just wait for the arc to be completely and then analytically binge the entire thing??? anyways ganbatte on making it through. may you be blessed with stories featuring dry monk level shounen virgins once this ends.

Most people here at least didn’t read the novel tho so they wouldn’t know that they just see romance. I was just playing devils advocate cuz this place has a reputation of insulting people for not liking things that they like so was just trying to give a different perspective of why someone would be sick of the arc or just not feeling it
nahh wtf i totally understand why he never told about the pregnancy cause what the actual fuck that’s peak manipulation
....how do you know Noah didn't intentionally get himself pregnant?!? Or that the went to sex with Ian during his rut knowing he's already an omega?!?
damn i haven’t thought that far i just made a judgement of how things are rn and let’s be fr at this rate i feel like we’re gonna see another asshole of an alpha and god i hope that noah doesn’t get swayed or anything and ends up forgiving him. honestly if it does go the way you say that’ll be a pleasant twist as most of these basically end the same
i was tryna put an emoji which shows this at the end:
╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
I hope so too otherwise it'll just be another cliche plot. I've not finished author's other works as I'm waiting on the official translation but those other works are healthy relationships. So hoping this one is not as presented.
