Pretty sure she was being homophobic since the point of her story was that her friends had "normal" lives and are happy. She had an "abnormal" life by her parents neglecting her. So Mr. Kwon needs to have a "normal" relationship so he can have a happy life cause being gay can't make him happy I guess. Or at least that's what I think she's trying to say. Still really stupid though.
I think the author tried to make her sympathetic by saying “She doesn’t want them to be alone since people who are different are alone”. Which is a shit take but it isn’t really a homophobic one ig.
What she did in this chapter. Microaggression, thinking someone is abnormal and needs to be fixed, not acknowledging someone's partner bc of gender, etc. This is also homophobia. It doesn't require someone calling you a slur or something to constitute being a bigot imo. But I get what you're saying.

You can have both citizenship. If he naturalized her as Korean since he is Korean, she's also a citizen of Korea.
