Ah yes, once again a rapist is being given a tragic backstory and good looks to push past their insufferable personality - I feel my brain slowly melting away
Two people are getting pregnant and I’m not one of them
I think it would be a cool twist if they just stayed friends with benefits, I haven’t seen that in a story yet and the dynamic at the start when it was casual and comfortable was nice to read - I don’t like when the awkward misunderstandings stage appears eughhh
I liked this story, it shows how trauma can affect people in twisted ways, like with Jooyul and his obsession with Jooin, and how Jooin blames himself for everything. I also appreciated the final chapter with Jooyul’s postcard explaining that he’s trying to heal and get better, and how he now realises that he needs help. I’ve seen many comments that feel uncomfortable with the incestruous topics, which I can understand as a psych major, but sadly it can be a reality for many abused families with their sibling or another family member as their only lifeline. It’s a twisted sort of admiration that can be confused and fester into obsession. Overall I think the serious topics were written well and I’m glad that everyone got a happy ending, even Jooyul.
I hope the author will make a side story about Mikail and Suyeon. That would be adorable. And perhaps find a partner for Vladimir, he’s a good man
The only characters I liked were Sunny and Jin - I didn’t like the fact that Hwan didn’t even have much of a redemption arc, he just had a new start with an oblivious Chiwoo, and don’t get me started on Chiwoo’s memory loss. It was a lovely ending, yes, but it could have had another dozen chapters focusing on Hwan’s change and Chiwoo’s forgiveness. Anyway, I’m a sucker for any of Sagold’s works, so I enjoyed it =v=
