With so many popping up... I'm not sure there's a logical story line anymore... Hell I don't even know what's going on anymore...

he is the biggest asshole here but the mom had responsibility to she adopted children with out even talking to him about it how could you came home one day a say "here these or your children now raise them" what I learned in life is you can't force people into loving someone no matter how much you want them to in the fathers opinion the was and will never be his children

That maybe true but the father should have known the mothers personality before he married her, before they where married she was still rather selfish with her actions thinking she'll change as soon as he puts a ring on her is unrealistic. Not to mention he told her that he'll add them to the family register, he lied instead of talking it through with her, so in a way they are just as bad as each other. And none of this is the kids fault, yet he blames them and hates them, the way he aims his anger at them instead of the woman He decided to marry is just passing the blame onto the innocent.

her being selfish has nothing to do with what she did in fact they are completely different and of course he would lie she has all ready adopted them their was nothing he could do about it at that point I feel like you miss the point of my comment and that was just because his wife decide to take in children doesn't mean he would accepted them himself just think about it while reading the book how many times did you see him hanging around them by himself just one on one beside when he was trying to get the eldest to do something for him he has never really and the only time he talked to them is when they was all together and that was just small talk or yelling sense the beginning he acted like he didn't want them and no matter how innocent they are in these you cant make him love/care about them all I see is two adults that only think about what they want and probably should have never married to begin with

I'm not saying that the father should be forced to love these children, but they are just kids and my original point was that he should of given them the sufficient care while the mother was in hospital. If the mum didn't see that her kids where living in complete chaos she would have listened to the dad and stayed in hospital and with some luck should have survived.
And I still think he should have told her that he hadn't adopted them, then at least the mother would know that he had no intention of loving these children. Then she also would have known he wouldn't look after them if she died.
Also even if they aren't registered under the fathers name when the mother was in the hospital she entrusted these kids to him thinking he would look after them, all because he 'claimed' to have adopted them. She left them His care all because She thought He had accepted them into the family.
And I also think you miss the point of my own second comment the fact that she was selfish before their marriage suggests that there would have been previous occasions where she's done something without her spouses knowledge. This is the mothers personality and it obviously didn't change(as we can see) what I suggested dear friend is that if he knew of her selfish personality and sudden irrational actions why would he marry her in the first place?
Furthermore I comment on how he treats these kids, even if he doesn't love them they deserve at least some level of respect which he obviously fails to give. Putting them in a potentially dangerous situation is just low, especially after the mothers death.
