So it's no wonder why she felt so sad when they both died.

In a sense, she thought the feeling was mutual (that they didn't love each other). Also, we're only in chapter 25. So early in the story. Save your disgust for when we have more concrete proof and information about the pastTL. Marriage of Convenience also had many haters when it was first released because of the age gap. Many people called ML a pedophile. They called FL a slut and a cheater for sleeping with other men in the pastTL. But look at where the story is now? Lol, it got you praising it so much you actually used it as reference here

How is it a Mary Sue when FL is out here trying to redeem herself. If she was, she would've had this perfect life with the perfect personality. Big time plot armor. But she doesn't. Imagine what the story could have been if the selfish lady of the duchy realized she can't have everything she wanted and maybe marriage isn't everything. Looks aren't everything. She has a good family and everyone around her seem to care. The way she would have felt abandoned by the ML could have stirred so much heartache and rage towards him that she would find the very sight of him disgusting bcs that would remind her of an embarrassing time of her life were she was naive and ignorant. Needless to say getting stuck in a loveless marriage would be a nightmare and the very idea of contract marriages in historical settings piss the living fuck out of me bcs bitch what divorce you can't even have the land in your name without your second or third cousin pouching off the enormous wealth your parents would have left you. The FL was lovely, the romance was delightful and the plot was okay too. There was no nonsensical side hero instead a 2nd couple. I love my 2nd couples. I have a good feeling the side stories will be about Meya and the crown prince.
