it's crazy to me that people would blame Nain, he's so obviously deeply unhappy. what he and Amon have isn't a relationship, it's a one-sided obsession where there is a very clear power hierarchy and he's forced to watch and do things that go against the very core of his being. it's gross and I feel bad for Nain, he's had to go through so much so far :(
I don’t even view it as cheating because I found out they were never in an established relationship, I don’t see a forced situation-ship as a relationship. However, I still feel icky because I’m projecting from my own experience, I absolutely detest any form of going behind one’s back but that doesn’t mean I’m right. It’s just how I FEEL.
I feel with how Amon can be, I didn’t expect Nain to go behind back and do that because he is scared of Amon. But I think being tired of things that scare you can happen, Nain definitely just wanted a different kind of love. Gwen is literally human and closest thing to peace he will ever have, they can relate whereas Nain and Amon can never relate.
I don’t believe Amon can ever learn. Amon was lenient and let it be for the sake of Nain’s health and love for Gwen, not because he truly cared of what Nain wanted deep down. Honestly I don’t apply human morals to a literal god, I really ever doubt Amon will ever know what it’s like to treat someone good.
This is why I’ve been saying the best ending is for Gwen and Nain go GR together because Amon will clearly never be like a human. If any side stories with different ending, Amon should die once Nain eventually succumbs since they’re basically one, and Amon becomes human in next life so he can experience what humanity is.
Gwen and Nain would be the true endgame, together for next lifetime and more to come. Amon with someone on equal footing and power dynamic.

I feel like when nain cheats on amon it will be because he is so far gone, and has so little regard for his own life, and has seen so many deaths that he eventually reaches the conclusion that there's nothing he can do for them in the first place (considering they also cheer at each others deaths) and decides to give up on them.
when he gives up on them he'll go with gwen, and try to experience as much love as he can before he's caught and killed. at least, thats what i think.
Yeah...I have never read the novel cuz when I read the mahnwa, I felt really disturb by Amon because namin was scared and he was getting drug I think all over again to distort his memories. I think nain would really suit with the pink guy cuz I feel like he really is the brightest. And in my interpretation I think Amon has already be with him for a long time (not the relationship type) and he should already have observed it...what really nain want and what he dislikes. But I think being happy about blood is creepy as hell. All the people around the temple was insane. The people I only think is sane is the pink guy and nain. That's my interpretation.
