I got say, that strategy that guy pulled is still stocked in my head. Like, he was able to brainwashed this oppressed people into believing that those in the island are their enemies and the they themselves are the spawns of the devil. I also don’t think he completely hates Eldians, more like they were already hated and he kept feeding that hate to his people because it kept them going. I mean, nobody seriously believes that they were in the wrong, they feel that their cause justifies their actions. Going back the point, I don’t think he hates the eldians, I think so due to the conversation he held with the military guy. He’s likely trying to find a common enemy, which is now the eldians at the island. I think this strategy will make everyone hate eldians on the mainland a little less and that’s what he’s planning. The common enemy idea: “yeah this eldians here are nasty and bad, but those guys at the island? Man, they are way worse!”
On a side note: y’all realize we got wait one freaking year for 12 freaking chapters!!
