I don’t care what type of redemption arc he goes through I will never forgive the duke for killing his daughter and maybe if he didn’t spend her whole life ignoring her he would have known she wasn’t a fake so idc he can choke on a pickle

I don't really remember since its been months since I've last read WMMP, but wasn't it because someone else reincarnated into Athy, where in this manhwa the MC just regressed to the past? And Athy was also a baby, so it was easier to forgive Claude overtime since it wasn't like Athy had a sudden change in her behavior that caused him to become interested in her, unlike the father of this MC. There were also a lot of sweet moments with Athy and Claude since that was the focus of the a good portion of the manhwa, so all of that just completely veered us to forgetting the first life. Also, was Athy a villainess before someone else may or may not have reincarnated into her? If that was the case then it's even more simple to think of them as two completely different people and Claude as someone different from that life. And Jenny (was that her name?), the sister, ended up getting along with Athy and even in the first life Jenny wasn't trying to get on Claude's good side or be a two-faced bitch. However, in this manhwa, in the MC's previous life, her "sister" was a liar and the father believed the liar that came years later over his daughter that was with him since the beginning and always did her best for his approval. He also only started to care when she suddenly stopped doing anything to please him. Idk if I explained it well, but I think this is why Claude isn't hated as much as this father. The fact that Claude is a total hottie could also be a reason, but anyways- (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

Oh wait that Claude ? yeah I agree with you. They are really similar and I did end up forgiving Claude for what he did but they weren't completely the same. Claude the first time didn't even know his daughter until I don´t remember what age but when he met her when she was younger they actually had a relationship and he was working against all his feelings of hatred towards her and actually loving her like a father which like you said kinda made me forget he ever killed her in the first place. Now this bastard on the other hand lived with her her entire life while she broke her back to please him had the audacity to call her a disappointment and even after her coming back he only cares about what she's doing because she did a complete 180 in the middle of the night and stopped paying attention to him. I don't see how their relationship could get better but I mean if I find out there was something out of his control or whatever that caused him to kill his daughter then sure maybe forgivness isn't impossible but idk
I’m so confused and scared by her actions...
