the main issue i have with this story is the fact that they barely discussed what BDSM/kinks really is. i myself don't know quite a lot but i do know three very crucial things aftercare is a must, safe word is non-negotiable and to never use abuse as a form of punishment. now of course this varies from person to person but these three are mandatory things. the ml is obviously more knowledgeable in this subject compared to the mc but they never sat down and discussed boundaries (i hope this happens as this story progresses but i doubt it). it's a good story but i just wish they took it a bit seriously because plays like this irl can be very harmful to both parties
Oh my god the ml went on about how experienced he was but there hasn't been any discussion about limits. Yet he's happy to keep wailing on and humiliate the Mc having no idea how far to push him. Make it make sense!

i just started reading this and i'm really trying my best to give it a shot but i can not for the life of me read about a weak FL does she get bolder anytime soon?? i do understand she has extreme trauma but girlie has no backbone im just so used to reading about overpowered main characters and girl bosses

I think it's a good thing to read about a FL who's not written like a "female man" to seem tough and cool, and actually progresses and becomes powerful in her own femininity and sweetness

Maxi doesn't become overpowered overnight, neither does she got over her self doubts and insecuirties that way either but she still tries everyday to be better, she's very realisitc in my opinion and I don't even view her as weak like how a lot of ppl here think. Maxi had an extremely fucked up upbringing where there wasn't a day where she wasn't treated like a slightly useful trash u need to dump on a man real quick. Her own husband who she was forced to marry literally only slept with her in a lowkey rapey and horrible way then disappeared for 2 years (which she was blamed for and only increased her mistreatment) Maxi is incredibly strong cuz if I was in her position I woulda killed these hoes then peaced out but she's still here fighting and trying to improve herself despite her struggles. Maxi is strong asf while being kind and caring.

Just cuz ppl process trauma differently doesn't mean one is weak and the other isn't. Also, what makes ruby strong and maxi weak? Honestly we still haven't gotten to the good part of the story but trust maxi will become stronger just give her time

theres definitely some plot holes here and there. like why is he so estranged to his family, what happened to the offer in australia, how did he suddenly have the ability to go into that black hole. i hope everything gets answered soon also i have a feeling he's going to struggle further on. i really want him to enjoy what he's doing rather than just going along with it.

He's not really estranged... more living and working in a different city... and that offer... he just gave it up. I also wonder on why he have that ability and if it will me explained one day.
Minor spoilers: nope, no struggle at all... and he slowly start to enjoy it... and while he does depend a lot on his ability he also learns to read and analyze the characters and uses the ability to check his interpretation compared to it and improves himself.
