The MC turned into an insufferable character...but that was intentional. I didn't like it, but I knew he was supposed to exhibit Stockholm Syndrome symptoms. Brother A sought him out and while Brother B tried to help and tried to correct things...a mess turned into a bigger mess because the MC went back without help and got hobbled, handcuffed, and locked in a room. He became broken the moment he started hallucinating.
I just couldn't with how it ended. The poor guy thought he was making progress, but it turned out it was Brother A controlling his life so he can come back and claim him after a year apart.
