nah she isn't dumb, she WANTS to believe him because she is in love with him, but she is too smart to completely ignore the signs like she wants to. She is happy and knows that if what she thinks is true, which we know it is, its going to mean that all of her effort went to waste and she is becoming a victim of the story again.
