It's refreshing to see a couple where the guy is the moral compass and the woman the less morally adept genius. And I love the fact that Cedric doesn't only accept Tia's superior intelligence and strategic mind, but also her weaknesses. There's no judgement between them, just honest communication. That's wonderful.

OK I really think the prince is an ass for pursuing Ibelina despite her clearly being uncomfortable with it, and for putting her in a situation where she might come in conflict with the future queen. It's thoughtless and selfish. And especially irresponsible since it might have political consequences.
But ultimately it was the princess who attempted murder, that's just not normal. People can do irrational things because of jealousy, but pushing someone to drown is another thing entirely, even if it was done on impulse. The prince is disrespectful towards people in general and especially women, but he can't be blamed for the princess attempting murder. She's selfish, irrational and immature, and apparently batshit crazy. Unless the prince was responsible for her upbringing he can't be blamed for that. If you're going to blame anyone, blame the king, he's (sort of) her guardian.
Isn't it interesting how she tells Damien and Kate to call her by her real name, but not her husband? It feels significant. In many different types if folklore you can gain power over someone, or reveal their true form/save them from a spell by saying their name. Here it seems to be a sign of her letting her guard down. I wonder if Hue will discover her name through Damien and understand that she's more closed up to him than others, or if she will tell him her name when she fully trusts him.
If you want some spoiler about the name feel free to read further

Hugo will eventually learn her childhood name 'cause of the way Damien and her friend calls her. He'll get jealous about it and wants to wait until Lucia tells him herself. Later he'll keep calling her Vivien (if my memory of the novel serves me right) 'cause Lucia will tell him that she is his Vivien and only him calls her that at home. (≧∀≦)
Ahahaha I see. Not at all the meaning I read into it then, but that's cute too.
