Tsumasaki Ni Kourozu
Chapter 8 (7 May 2013) Summary: N/A It's amazing. I really like this manga since it's different from any other cliche manga. About science, and gods, and yeah, the love is in the air. First story is about fungi researchers. The uke was recruited as a professor's assistant, and then while doing so they came close until one day, the uke realised he fell in love with the seme. When the seme pulled him to go to a beautiful forest at night, the uke confessed, but things went awkward. The other day, the uke resigned. Yet, the seme seemed like couldn't do without the uke. He didn't hire any assistant. Then one day, they met again, and reconciled. It's super sweet despite of the age gap. The second story is definitely my favorite. The uke could see fish in the air from sleeping men. One day, he saw the seme sleep in the library. When he approached him silently, his own fish was pulled inside the seme's body and never came out. Since that day on, he couldn't find his fish. But at the brighter side, his relationship with the seme grew closer. Until he collapsed and was brought to the infirmary. The seme suddenly could see the fish too, and yeah, the uke got his own fish back. But they confessed to each other and kissed. So sweet. I really wish it were longer! The idea is genius. The third story is good also. About a man whose grandfather died. When he came to the grandfather's house, he met a young boy who mysteriously came to the house but in hidden. At first, I thought he was the grandfather in his early life. I thought of incest haha. But later on, the boy kept coming bringing some flowers, fruits or anything from mountain. Until he was found out that he was a squirrel god. It's good, but I really expected for a more twisted one. Overall, this manga is simply amazing. I love it. The art is good even though in the first story it used so much tone. 8.5 9 9 9
Sentimental Garden Lover
Chapter 7 (24 January 2011) Summary: Love is found in the strangest places and with the most unexpected partners. The men (and cats!) of SENTIMENTAL GARDEN LOVER burst into heart-throbbing bloom! A scruffy stray cat wishes for big hands to hold an abused man, and a cute kitten begs for speech to comfort a broken-hearted stranger. Wander further into the garden, and you'll find close siblings upset by a love rival; a jaded delinquent flustered by a trusting bookworm; an evasive, glasses-hating man; and a president eager to find a weakness in his perfect secretary. For both cat and human, the quest for love is here! Okay, this manga is ... yeah, quite good. Despite being all cliche, it has a good theme for the stories. First story is about a cat who wished to be a human so that he could protect the uke from his abusive partner. So he did. It was rather annoying but okay. Too supernatural. The second story is also about a cat turning into a human, but it was the other cat, Shima, who ran away and was found by a man who was left by his ex lover because of marriage. I don't really like it since the uke's character design isn't to my liking. The third story is interesting. A delinquent who hid in a bookstore and accidentally read a book that the uke really loved. Even though at first the seme denied he liked the book, but later on he started to accept it. But when his dark past got involved, he decided to put it to an end. He got beaten so badly and I thought he was dead. But fortunately he wasn't an now was happy with the uke. The forth story is about bothers who loved each other. Pretty cliche, but still good. Two brothers who always together, one day the older caught the younger with a girl, then getting all depressed even running away, searching consolation at his poor friend's home. But when reconciliation came, it finished. It was a bit disturbing when the younger told the older that, even though one day would come when he would find someone for his life, it would definitely be a lot like his older brother. Pretty deep, huh. The fifth story is about a worker who was being confessed to by his junior. But, the junior wore glasses, and he hated glasses for it reminded him of his bad, past lover. But the seme insisted until he could find a way. In the end, the uke decided to wear glasses as well. The last story is probably the best. A secretary worked for his lazy-ass president. The president found his weakness, and then used it to threat the uke to change the appearance into a delinquent one. He got it, and then they went on a date of eating such deadly delicious dessert. Then, when one day the seme suggested him to introduce to other companies, the uke showed a strange expression of devastation. It made the seme feel guilty of course. I like it the most because the reconciliation was a good sex because the other stories lack of them. Nice, but not good enough to be considered as my favorite. 8.5 8.5 8.5 8.5
Eien No Aida Ni Miru Yume
Chapter 1 (14 January 2011) Summary: A fallen angel finds himself infatuated with a human, and despite knowing the consequences, he decides to indulge himself... if only for a little while. This is sad. I don't really like it. The art is good and the type-setting looks nice too. But the story ... I wish the fallen angel could show his love more. I mean, I know he loved the boy but he just couldn't show it. While the boy, all grim and sorrowful with the loss of his whole family, lived alone with the angel for years, until, one day, he fell in love. But he knew someday the fallen angel would kill him, so, even though it hurt him, it killed him in the end, he let himself being hold by the angel. It's such a tragedy. So sad, but fortunately didn't really get into me. 8.5 8.5 8 8.5
Fukouchuu no Shiawase
Chapter 3 (1 March 2016) Summary: An extremely lucky man gets saddled with the God of Calamity. Well, it was quite interesting. The theme, and the comedy parts are adequate. But it disappointed me how it took too long to be updated. There's still three chapter with no progress at all. We hadn't had any meaningful progress in their relationship. In this chapter and still not even a kiss. The drawing is quite nice especially the dramatic ones, but others, they're ordinary. I just need them to be together asap. At least a kiss! It's a yaoi yet the sexual tense isn't even there. What the hell. 3.5 3 3 3.5
Red Moon
Chapter 1 (20 March 2012) Summary: A psychotic gay cannibalistic vampire murderer in love and with moon issues. Did you really expect anything else from Kaori Yuki? One of her earliest works. I didn't really understand the plot. Really. Everything was so vague whether the uke or the seme was the vampire, or the hunter, or the psychopath. It's just that the seme said the word "You're the only one for me" to every one. So, the uke, out of jealousy, stabbed him even though later he regretted it and begged him to come back. Later on, the seme revived deliberately. Then, they started a serious relationship. But it was a matter of time until the uke lost his control, and became a monster. Just a matter of time. The art is average, the plot was so damn confusing. The characterization was terrible. And yeah, no enjoyment even though it has my favorite title: Red Moon. Like the song from Kalafina. But damn, this manga should have been as good quality as the song. 3 2 1.5 2
Gozen Yoji, Sasayaku You Ni
Chapter 1 (16 February 2011) Summary: One day, Souichirou met a mysterious guy at bar he frequents. The first thing that guy told him was, “You look like you’re about to die”. Souichirou, however, did not find that the least bit amusing and brushed it off easily. Until his first encounter with danger and then everything started to spiral out of control… This one is really nice. It's okay if people think the otherwise or anything. But really I like this manga. A beautifully drawn supernatural shounen ai manga about a man who met a death god. "Seems like you're about to die." And then the death god followed him. From here, he often met near-death experiences. But still, he was saved. Until one day, he met a big accident and was hospitalized seriously. He saw Michi (the death god) whispering to an old man next to his bed and the man died. Then he believed. When Michi approached him and opened his oxygen mask, he thought it was time to leave. But, Michi actually kissed him. Since then, Michi never appeared in front of him. But still, years passed, Michi was always there. Actually standing near him all the time. Whispering to his hear every 4 am in the morning. "When you wake up ... Can you kiss me?" Seriously this manga is beautiful. I can never get enough of this type of story. 4 4 4 4.5
Yasashii Dakeno
Chapter 1 (21 October 2014) Summary: A terminally ill patient and a mysterious boy. A boy who could absorb one's illness and turn it into his food. The seme met him in the hospital, and then he saw him being sexually harassed by a doctor. It turned out later that night when he was supposed to be asleep. He was not a human. Then, when the seme saved him from being sexually harassed by that doctor again, the uke decided to help him cure his terminal illness. He was cured, but the boy never appeared again. There were some plot holes since it is only a one shot. But really, the idea is quite interesting to be developed. What a shame. 3 3 3 3
Feng Yu Jiu Tian
Chapter 6.3 (18 September 2014) Summary: Feng Ming was only 19 when he lost his life saving a child from death without hesitation. The grateful father of the rescued child grants Feng Ming a second chance at life. Unknown to Feng Ming, his soul is whisked away to a far away ancient land (resembling the dynasties of China). Upon waking up, he finds himself inhabiting the frail body of Thunder Kingdom's crowned prince who is also graced with the title of the most beautiful man across all the lands. However, his beauty has a price as he attracts the unwanted attention of the minister of affairs, Ren Ting who finds every reason to torment the prince mentally and physically. As Feng Ming starts to get a hold of the conspiracies surrounding him, what will happen when the prince's true identity is revealed? And what happened to the 'real' prince? One word: Amazing. I underestimated manhua yet actually this one is really good. Feng Ming was such a baby. So cute and pure and funny. Rong Tian was a jerk, but he was lovable. Their relationship was getting better as the chapters passed but apparently now it was such a dark time. They argued about the visit. But really, I want to see Feng Ming taking a lead onto something greatly, and seeing Rong Tian look at him with proud eyes. Oh, and I'm still shocked by the twist, that Feng Ming was actually a fake prince and the true crown prince was actually Rong Tian who disguised into a Regent Prince. Now, I don't hate the word "Regent" anymore because of this manhua, thanks. This is yaoi but the sex scene, the "real" one hasn't appeared. There was always a cockblock or such. I can't wait to see the update, but perhaps I should read the novel first. Oh yeah, there's something more to read. 4.5 5 4.5 5
Shinpu-sama No Kyuuketsuki
Chapter 11.5 (27 September 2016) Summary: Claude, a vampire who just arrived in town seeking fresh blood, meets a handsome man, Father Ruslan. However, while he was thinking about making him his dinner, he's the one who gets eaten â¤! He also ends up with a seal on his arm, putting him in a state of absolute submission. In the end, Claude becomes the one getting gently nibbled on by Ruslan's pet lycanthrope and by Imp the imp, among others!! This one was interesting. A story about the relationship between a priest and a vampire, with the priest (Ruslan) as seme and the vampire (Claude) as the uke. So hilarious. Usually it was the other way around. And Rurslan was so pretty. I think he's the combination between Frankenstein and Laurent. Yeah, but of course Laurent's hair isn't that long. But still... He's so damn beautiful. And Claude was so cute too. A vampire, supposed to be all powerful and mighty ended up being a priest's pet. That must be a joke. But I had a feeling that Ruslan and Claude were once lovers. I don't know, I just discovered that Claude lost his memories, so that's still possible. But really, Claude was acting like Aoba, with different partners (not all the way, of course). A lot of kink, and fetish. Even that masochist dude was crazy. I just loved it even though the comedy in my opinion was too much. EDIT: Claude was just too dense OMG! Would you stop and notice that the so-called girl in his dream was actually Ruslan?! Dammit. EDIT: Finally, Claude noticed that Ruslan was his childhood friends! OMG He's so damn dumb! EDIT: That's... the end? Gah! Too rushed! What a waste. The last thing I saw that they kissed, only once, but that's it. And then Claude said that he would be with Ruslan for eternity. And then that last post. It's too forced, too rushed. Such a disappointment. 3.5 (weird composition, but at least Ruslan was so pretty) 3.5 3.5 (decreased a half for Claude's stupidity) 3.5
