i know that this won't end in their getting together bcs the other mc is confirmed dead, but my little heart still hope for it still, it was a great story. the main theme is simple but they nailed it really well

the dark and gritty acts of the children here are just the reflection of the adults around them, the lack of love and care towards the ones that should received them the children--with abundance of power shown thru marina's violence, azuma's patience, and shizuka's perseverance--are powerless with loneliness and we, the sane audience, who might face this in real life but unable to do anything, live that heroic save thru the lense of takopi. that the only way to save this kids are with the power of magic, because the adults around them had failed them miserably. and with the death of takopi, what remained are the lesson, the realization that the pain that we experienced alone are unbearable. but together we could bear this pain. still painful, but bearable. enough that we could still go on living, that someday, maybe we could feel a little happiness
