What kind of disease is that? The legend said that upon the peace and fertile land, the most northern village, lies the story about God that protect that land that fall in love with human. That human called Miko. Miko need to be pure in the mind and body. So everyone that burden the title to being Miko need to be human sacrifice so that land would be protected by demin and fiends. Atsushi is orphan, get pick up to the nearest village. Upon ariving he appointed to be servant of Souma, son of the chief of the village. But Souma never treat Atsushi as his servant, in fact, he treat him well like his own little brother. He likes to read Atsushi book about that legend of God and Miko to him, and they two promise to be always together and get the chance to explore outside world. But turn up Souma get choose (actually he voluntering himself because upper rank of the village want to sacrifice Atsushi) to be Miko. Thus, Atsushi promise himself to be his gueard and frre Souma so they two can get away from the village and have life outside...
