I’M NOT EVEN PAST THE FIRST FUCKING CHAPTER AND I’M ALREADY FORCED TO HOLD IN SCREAMS FROM ALL THE CRINGE. it’s actually hilarious, lmfao. low-key, tho… i’m kinda obsessed with this, ngl. these characters have great chemistry!!! and i l love the dynamics. edit: IT’S OVER AND THIS HAS BEEN SUCH A WHOLESOME RIDE, OMFG. i just adore these two so much. not only was the chemistry spot-on (like i mentioned earlier), but their interactions have always felt sincere and remained a consistent source of entertainment ‘til the very end. no wonder i kept rereading this even though the manhwa wasn’t even complete, lol! no regrets, though. these two will stay with me, for sure. hilariously adorable, the both of ‘em.

ughhh. another binge-worthy, semi-comedic, power-trippy, visually gorgeous historical martial arts masterpiece in the making! it’s freakin’ EPIC, y’all. and this pure, anticipating, slowly-burning romance between these two…!!! ugh, i can’t. too sweet, too much wholesomeness… and awesomeness, too, i guess. but if that’s not all, we also have a ridiculously strong and intelligent female lead, a scary-looking but adorably awkward brute-like puppy of a male lead, as well as a generally healthy dose of martial arts, blood and violence to balance things out just right! i couldn’t have lucked out more with this one, you guys. it’s perfect. <33 (P.S. having literally just finished chapter 70, i’d honestly want nothing more than to curl into the deepest and loneliest part of myself and sob from the sheer BLISS of this gorgeous, gorgeous art! just excellent writing and artistry all around. i honestly can’t cope no more, i just can’t. #blessed) i don’t really have the energy to write anything else right now, though… just know that it’s freakin’ BANGIN’ and that i’ll be reading this very excitedly… and impatiently, heh. i suppose that’s a given!

bro… this guy‘s the real deal. i’m completely bewitched, goddammit. i’m officially fully caught up now, and yes, i’m OBSESSED. god, how i love me a sweet power trip. i adore this MC of ours, too! i love i love i love. even the side characters are pretty damn respectable. i’m ridiculously stoked for the future!!! (in case that wasn’t already made painfully obvious.) this genre is taking over my entire world, y’all. expect the unexpected, i suppose! i’m kinda disappointed with myself for putting this off for so long. ughhh, why do i always do this…? oh, well. better late than never, i guess.

this is spectacular!!! goddamn, that was such a good read. overall loving these dynamics. <33 their bond is just so fucking precious, my god. i love them. (i’m low-key tearing up from all the sweetness, too… which is a weird, new sensation.) either way, i was enthralled! kept me up for way longer than it should’ve, too. i’ll probably reread it someday as well; there’s not a lot of room for any doubt there. unfortunately, though, i’ll probably forget a lot of things i’ve just been reading… as it’s honestly not all that memorable on an emotional level. and i also didn’t take a lot of screenshots like i normally would, so i kind of regret that in retrospect… however!!! i’ll try me best to recall how much i appreciate these characters and how wholesome this comic has made me feel. a pleasant escape from reality! (plus, it’s a storyline i haven’t really seen before. that’s a certain bonus!) normally, i would’ve written more of an extensive review, but i honestly don’t know what else to say. i just loved it. and it’s nice having been able to binge it effortlessly in a relatively short amount of time! P.S. karsus is just the most precious, most lovable thing i’ve ever seen. <33 or guy, meh. well, one of ‘em, at least!!! (THIS WAS NECESSARY TO ADD, DON’T @ ME.)

whoaaa, is one’s… pretty damn spectacular, my guy!!! and it’s hilariously funny, too. man, don’t even get me started… they’ve got me wheezing like a pig on steroids a lot of the time, i’m not even kidding. this gorgeousness definitely deserves a place in my top ten, no doubt! i honestly didn’t expect to enjoy it this much (i’ve been saying that a lot lately), but i’m more than pleased—and excited—by such a lovely turn of events! ugh, i’m so obsessed with this story and these goddamn lovable characters. it literally has EVERYTHING i’d ever need in a story. like humor and chemistry and power dynamics and clichés… including the sweetest, most innocent romance possible—with my new two favorite main characters at the center to keep the amazing chemistry flowing! and if that’s not all, yunjo’s constantly exuding big daddy energy in freakin’ WAVES, bro. it’s so fucking attractive i could cry. and i simply adore our power-lady yun, too!!! she’s so relatable and funny and strong and smart and ughhh, i just love her to pieces. they’re perfect together! such a power-couple, goddammit. and hey, let’s not forget about the overall amazing storytelling, emotional depth, outstanding narration and this freakin’ ethereal-looking art which blesses our eyes continuously!!! such high-quality content, seriously. i’m soooo happy i decided to binge this tonight, you guys have no idea. now i can die happy. <3 edit: so… it’s over now. :( it’s a bittersweet feeling. i’m glad they didn’t drag it out and kept the progression steady ‘til the end, but i’m going to miss these guys. overall, this has been such a wonderful journey! don’t really know what else to say at this point, but know that it’s definitely worth the read.

well, fuck. honestly, what i’m feeling is kinda bittersweet. i’m low-key sad about having to let go of these characters so soon… ughhh. i adore them both. but, since i’m tired and (sort of ) in denial about this finally being married as ‘complete’, let me just say that this was simply spectacular. really, really incredible storytelling. i love how their personalities were perfectly incorporated into the art itself! i literally could’ve read this entire story without the dialogue or inner monologues and it still would’ve made perfect sense. i recall having to take a lot of mental health breaks throughout; simply because i couldn’t cope with all the secondhand embarrassment hitting me from every single angle in every single chapter. there was always something to either crack me up like crazy or make the blood under my skin crawl. believe it or not, but either option is considered a victory by my standards! it just means i’m completely invested. and there was never a full moment! i was 100% absorbed whenever i was reading. back when i first reading this in august of 2020, i ended up rereading it (twice) before the end of that very month of that very same year. that’s how enthralled i was. it’s comedic genius, really. well, if i were to give it to you straight (unlike daehyung and yiyoung), this manhwa literally had everything i’d ever need in a story. god, it has so much character!!! and if that’s not all, our two lover boys both had unique and interesting personalities. then there’s also the incalculable amount of hysterically funny moments, lots of smoking hot sex scenes, a whole lot of wholesomeness, an overflow of creativity, excellent chemistry, nice pacing with natural progression, amazing character development… and, of course, the wonderfully playful art as well. ‘on or off’ is a clear favorite of mine among everything i’ve read thus far, and i expect it’ll remain that way for quite some time. there’s not a single doubt in my mind that i’ll end up rereading this (for a third time) at some point in the foreseeable future. i thought the ending was lovely, too, and it was indubitably very, very fitting for them. naturally, i’d be ecstatic to find an epilogue chapter or two after all this, but it’s definitely not necessary. it was a good ending and i absolutely adore this story as a whole. i’d absolutely recommend this manhwa to anyone who’s interested in comics! simply genius.

COOL. edit #2: i’m finally completely caught up... yo, this man is such a fucking BEAST!!! i wonder, have i ever read a historical martial arts manhwa with a MC this powerful and prolific in so many different ‘areas’ before? i mean… homeboy’s mastered swordsmanship, archery, stealth, hand-to-hand combat, MULTIPLE martial arts, poison arts, knives, resistance to extreme temperatures, regeneration, imitation… did i miss anything?? like, BROOOO. one can only guess how powerful he’ll be once we reach the end of this story... (ridiculously so, i’d assume.) it’s so good, y’all. i have no idea why i put this off for so long. it’s actually one of the better martial arts stories i’ve read thus far! freakin’ EPIC. #noregrets
