Woman's Best Friend

Complete | Dodam | 2000 released

I really liked this manhwa! I especially enjoyed the dynamic between the characters, and I also found all of them interesting in their own way, relatable and surprisingly realistic for a comic. I loved the character development and getting to watch them grow and mature—both together and separately as individuals. Overall, it was an appreciable story! The only reason I’m giving it four stars instead of five is because it didn’t really have that ‘wow-factor’. It was good, and I did finish it in one go, but I don’t believe it’s something I’ll read again. (Not for awhile, at least.) Nonetheless, I think it’s worth the read!

ahhhh, they’re so fucking cute!!! edit: just finished reading chapter 83 and i most definitely still stand by my statement, lol. edit #2: we’re throoough, my dudesss!!! so lovely, no joke. this was one of the first comics i ever checked out on this website; way before i was even a registered member here. (it might even have been my very first yaoi comic.) my god, this is so nostalgic. i’ll definitely be rereading it someday! i hope there’ll be a few epilogue episodes, or possibly another side story or two! that’d be the cherry on top, truly. i’m fairly certain i’d be fine either way, lol. such a wholesome conclusion. <33 you guys should definitely check it out.

Mr.Miss

Ongoing | aseom | 2000 released

bro, this was SO. FREAKIN’ SWEET!!! i thoroughly enjoyed witnessing their development (and devotion) as a couple. is this something i’ll reread in the future? probably not, but that doesn’t really matter. it would’ve been nice to finish things off with a couple more bonus chapters, though—just to see how the whole ‘family ordeal’ unfolds… but still, things’ll work out just fine without it, too! :)

Miss Not-So Sidekick

Ongoing | Ellianyang,Yumyum | 2000 released

This. Is. Pure. Comedy. GOLD!!! It just doesn’t get much better than this—comedically speaking. It doesn’t. I legit feel like I wheezed my way through it. Fucking hysterical, man!!! I’m so glad I chose to read it in the end. For whatever reason, I was skeptical at first. (Perhaps because of the cover, I don’t know…?) Initially, I wasn’t particularly attracted to the art style from what little I could gather before reading, but it had great reviews, so I decided to give it a go despite that. Once again, I’m so happy I did! It was so wild, y’all. In the best way possible. And the initial skepticism for the art style quickly melted away—just within a few chapters. It’s the biggest non-cliché cliché I’ve ever read. Seriously. It wasn’t what I was expecting AT. ALL. Loved the dynamics between the characters! Such an interesting bunch, truly fascinating. I won’t say too much (because I don’t want to spoil anything for anyone this time), but maaaan, they cracked me up so hard. All three of the ‘original’ love interests were all so much fun! Of course I have my favorite out of the trio, but I’m not gonna tell youuuu. ;) Latte is probably one of my all-time favorite protagonists. She’s funnier than most comedians I know, love and enjoy. Lovable, honest, creative, considerate, humorous, optimistic… Very nosy and wannabe-annoying, though—which is normally character traits I wouldn’t appreciate in a main character, but homegirl killed it!!! I couldn’t picture her any differently. She was perfect. Nonetheless, every character was unique and they all had their own respective air of ‘charisma’, so to speak; even the so-called villains and such. There wasn’t ever a dull moment for me. It was so refreshing! Probably among the most unexpected isekai comics I’ve read thus far—which says a lot, considering I mostly read isekai comics. Like, the number’s in the hundreds or whatever by now. I don’t even know anymore. I just know that this is a new favorite of mine! What a classic, god. I’ll definitely be rereading it in the future. Probably sometime soon. 10/10, would ABSOLUTELY recommend!!! Looking forward to the side stories, too. I hope the authors have other stories for me to check out as well! I’ll be ecstatic if that’s the case. Edit: I just felt the need to add that I’ve read this manhwa at least three times at this point, lol. Let me ALSO add that I first read this in september of 2021, and I’m editing THIS particular part in june of 2023. Just about to reread it again, ahahahaha!! No regrets!!!

Revenge Wedding

Ongoing | Saryong | 2019 released

it’s funnier than i thought it’d be! love the mains’ dynamic, too. i’m excited for this one! edit: i’m in love with this. <3 i’m just hoping there’ll be an epilogue and some bonus episodes to finish everything off. i’m kinda sad it’s over, to be honest. i feel like they could’ve kept going for a good while still, but it is what it is. i’m not giving up hope until i see that it’s marked ‘complete’!!! i don’t particularly like rushed endings with lots of unanswered questions and lacking closure.

Shot by Love

Complete | Horn,Setin | 2019 released

haha, i liked this one! and i do appreciate the fact that the characters acted and behaved quite unpredictably—at least compared to the expectations i had going in. it wasn’t the most exciting story, but it was sweet and funny it didn’t drag on for too long. (i didn’t expect an ending like that, either.) but aye, what a ride! it’s been fun.
