Adeline’s Twilight
this one is simply magical. <3 i ADORE our string female lead and our striking main man—like, FOR REAL. god, they’re so good together, and they’re not even together yet… ughhh, seriously can’t wait for that day. exquisite writing!!! i think this manhwa has overall great pacing & character development, gorgeous & expressive art, enthralling & lovable characters, etc… it was worth staying up all night! (or more like morning—it’s 12:46 pm and i still haven’t slept since yesterday, lol. (P.S. i’d give this a 1000 star rating, by the way—for reasons unbeknownst to even me. you rock, author!!! (would’ve added the “i’m having the time of my life” tag if i had enough room, sheesh. their dynamics and fun reactions to each other do bring a smile to my face.)
The Broken Ring : This Marriage Will Fail Anyway
hooolyyyy fuuuuck, man… this is perfect, ugh. it feels like i keep repeating the exact same things for each new manhwa i’ve been reading lately, but i’m fucking serious. (as serious as i am tedious, heh.) i. LOVE. this. COUPLE!!! this is so different from what i initially expected it’d be. even now, i still have no idea what i’ll get as i progress further and further into their unique, unconventional romance. they’re both unpredictable characters by my standards, too! and even though i’d love for them to get together and simply allow themselves to be happy for once—like, right NOW—the way this story’s been structured and conceptualized is pretty damn clever and captures one’s attention, for sure. the future of their respective character development has already been set for success!!! they’re both already well on their way, too—even though they probably haven’t realized this themselves yet. ughhh, i adore them… despite their flaws and all. ahhh, can’t wait to read moooore!!!
The Dilettante
ahhh, this is extraordinary. absolutely ADORE the art-style! gorgeous, gorgeous, GORGEOUS. it makes my body feel all tingly and shit, ughhh. love the dynamics between or two mains, too!!! (i don’t even care how bad this makes me look, lmfao.) the sexual tension is killingggg meeee, man… they’re so hot. big mercenary queen energy + big mafia dick energy = TOXIC SUCCESS. <33 who doesn’t appreciate a solid power-couple with mental issues and violent tendencies, aye? i know i sure do. (mr. and mrs. smith and got nothin’ on youuu.) edit: we’ve come so far and omfg i LOVE them as a couple. such a power duo. so sad it’s already over, though. ;_; it’d be nice if we could get an epilogue or possible bonus chapters, but i’m not holding my breath. either way, i’ve thoroughly enjoyed this book! not gonna lie, i’m probably gonna reread this at some point.
The Duke’s Redemption
teehee, this is exciting. different from what i expected, too, but it’s not a bad thing! i’m thoroughly enjoying myself over here. love our MC. <33 and our duke as well, of course! homeboy deserved better. :( lil’ baby doesn’t even know what enjoyment IS, goddammit. gotta adore our main boy for trying his very best to show him some of the joys of being alive!!! edit: HAHAHAHAH, I ADORE THEIR RELATIONSHIP!!! he so funny omfg. they have awesome chemistry lol
Disciple's Persuasion Plot
The Lady’s Dark Secret
holy FUCK, this is dark. ahhh, how i adore a lovely, oh so bittersweet revenge-story. <33 and this ‘nice saint-turns-villainess’ type-plot is an excellent trope. i’m so enthralled right now; estelle is so cunning and viciously seductive in everything she does. ahhh, this genre never disappoints!!! the sadist in is THRIVING, lol. sadistic me seems to love making appearances during these moments, hahaha. in any case, i’ll be looking forward to witness the full extent of her brutal revenge! i hope she’ll bevictorious and manage to find peace someday... she pretty much deserves it at this point. P.S. step on meeee, mami. <33 she’s so fucking hot, ugh. love every single little thing about her. SLAY, QUEEN.
Beast Burn
Secret Lady
this is TRULY EXQUISITE writing, man. it’s genuinely, whole-heartedly such a wonderful story. gorgeous art, beautiful complexity, enthralling plot and excellent characters—each and every one of them unique and intriguing internet heir own way. whoaaaa, i’m so fucking SOLD. this is top-notch world-building!!! ugh, perfection. i’m not even fully caught up yet, but i can already tell i’m in for an emotional ride. this is art. <33 P.S. i wonder if this manhwa was created by the same artist as the one who wrote and drew “the fantasie of a stepmother”—i mean, since the art itself and the overall atmosphere of the comic is so similar to that masterpiece as well. it’d explain a lot of things, haha. must be true!!! the style feels pretty unique; i sincerely doubt these two stories were illustrated by different individuals. the notion makes no sense to me whatsoever, sheesh… but hey, you never know!!!
Untouchable
hmmm, well… i don’t really know what to make of this one. i figured it’d be something quite similar to “at the end of the road” in certain ways… but it wasn’t really, haha. it actually felt more similar to “mad dog”—which is another great comic by the same author as ATEOTR, by the way. funny how that worked out! the artists definitely use completely different art-styles, techniques and such… but there really were a lot of similarities—especially if you combine haribo’s two manhwas into one. (they’re both personal favorites of mine!!! and i’ve read ATEOTR, like, five times by now. i’m not even kidding, lol. it’s my go-to comfort manhwa. their relationship makes me emotional.) …anyway, at the end of the day (lol), i DID enjoy myself… and i really, really liked the last 5 chapters. i’m so glad they were included in the manhua! it was nice seeing them all grown up, and, just… so inexplicably devoted to each other, i guess—despite the 8 years they spent apart! nonetheless, i definitely feel there’s plenty of room for improvement in the storytelling department. i debated giving this 3/5 stars instead of 4/5, but ultimately decided against it… since the haribo-nostalgia kicked in, haha. honestly though, with some refinement & added details, broader emotional perspectives and some better though-out dialogue, i think this could’ve been worthy of a much higher score, in my personal opinion. P.S. honestly, i’m low-key kinda salty about the fact that we got no intimate scenes WHAT. SO. EVER. just the obvious ‘indicators’ that they were together by the end of the story. i mean… not even a kiss, really? ;_; that was a first for me, sheesh. possibly in a bonus chapter done the line, maybe…? (i won’t hold my breath, though. ‘cause R.I.P.) still, i liked their chemistry and the innocent ‘vibes’ of their relationship. i found the whole thing kinda wholesome. once again, it was nice witnessing their dedication to each other continuously grow stronger and stronger.
