whoa… the comments were right. this is definitely a hidden gem! literally binged it in one 04:00 A.M. sleepless morning-sitting, lol. it’s a shame it was so short, though… would’ve enjoyed to read even more, but i do understand why they chose to end it there. but, all in all, i loved the creative plot-line and our main character(s?) as well—really captivating stuff! it’s been awhile since i read a manhwa mostly focused on violence like this. probably since ‘god of blackfield’, i think?? i kinda missed the genre, not gonna lie. heh. but yeah, i’m absolutely content with this!!! way better than expected, too. and great character development as well! i’ll definitely reread it one day, no doubt about it. ahhh, it would seem i’m stupidly weak to the gory, morally ambiguous stuff. i’m clearly a total psycho, but that’s okay. <33 well, i think. so, so good!!! edit: well, i actually DID reread it. still loved it, lololol

INCREDIBLE. truly, this is some unequivocally otherworldly storytelling. i mean, obviously the story was going to be fucking EPIC the moment i first realized 1) who the author is, and 2) that the studio responsible for publishing it also gave us masterpieces such as ‘solo leveling’. oh, and just in case i was a bit unclear about my reasoning regarding the former: this talented creator also gave us the work of art that is otherwise knows as ‘omniscient reader’—which is, by any standard, a top-tier manhwa worthy of praise and recognition. they BOTH are. anyone who knows what they’re talking about would acknowledge them with pride. the world-building is just… next level. it’s i genius. crazy, complex, compelling, CREATIVE writing. i’m obsessed. on another note: it’s been awhile since i saw a dude as OP as jaehwan. it’s, like, um… holy FUCK, bro. did yoo joonghyuk and sung jinwoo join together in a sacred act of the naked horizontal tango and produce an offspring of the highest caliber without telling anyone????? he’s so overpowered it’s INSANE. i’m definitely not complaining, though!!! no way in hell, lol. reading this is pure exhilaration—it’s just the best feeling. genuinely. P.S. undoubtedly—y’all have absolutely NO IDEA just how much i appreciate these random moments of comic-relief in the middle of all the chaos, lol. seriously, we have these god-like people with god-like powers fighting their god-like battles… and honestly? it’s such a massive dopamine-rush every single time, for real. we have a war that’s stretching on for chapters on eeeend (teehee, #blessed), and the minute a battle’s over, we get some weird-ass dialogue with our favorite characters to lighten up the mood… and strangely, it’s all so perfectly well-balanced. i especially love our main man’s zoomed-in, expressionless facial expressions, hahaha! it’s such a contract to the rest of the comic. this one really isn’t lacking anything at all, it’s perfect. i also appreciate the fact that things stay consistent—whether it be in regards to the art-style, the overall quality of the writing or the creative plot-twists. whatever it is, it’s got my blood flowing—that’s for sure!

GOOD!!! very well-written. definitely a new favorite! i’m seriously struggling to put down my phone and go to sleep. it’s way too enthralling for that!!! goddammit. anyway. this MC of ours is so freakin’ lovable, too! imagine being, like, the scariest, most capable warrior in the world… and all you want to do is help other people and just be ‘normal’, as he so graciously puts it. jang kirin is a truly amazing guy. i’d marry him in a heartbeat if given the opportunity. such loyalty, care and authenticity is quite rare to come by… i adore this ‘family’ he’s slowly building for himself, too! jang kirin deserves the world. i hope he one day receives it. <33

THIS. IS. SO. GANGSTER!!! i mean, whoa. what a glorious massacre this turned out to be. i honestly didn’t think i’d stick around this long... i struggled to make sense of the plot initially, and it took a good while for things to turn interesting, but those notions are all in the past now! man, what an immense power-trip. just constant fighting, basically. since the development started out kinda… slow (?), i couldn’t quite figure out the characters and their affiliations until i’d finished, what, a good 60-70 chapters? either way, now that things are finally making sense, i’m truly immersed. i love the political aspects, too! can’t believe our escort warrior was actually once the alliance leader, lol. (albeit it was only for a day or so, but still.) i mean, i knew he had a powerful position with a lot of influence, but i never would’ve imagined anything like that. that revelation made my whole goddamn week!!! man, that smug look of satisfaction on our OP MC’s face once he knew that ‘the enemy’ had realized his identity. i actually screamed out loud. ugh, so good. i’m just happy and relieved that i didn’t put this off!!! things are only getting better and better now. and hey, we’re FINALLY geeing some character development for our gwang hwi, too! this guy has literally been through HELL. if anyone out there deserves a break, it’s this guy. i mean, i do understand his self-loathing, guilt and regrets given the things he’s done… but he also needed to realize that he can’t save everyone. he’s not god. (even though he’s basically a war god, sheesh.) either way, i’m just glad that he’s finally starting to see that himself. it’s taken him a long time, but all good things come in time! seeing him actively working on himself (not just his abilities, but his perspectives, too) makes my whole heart soar, truly. gwang hwi deserves the world. all he wants is to do good. to BE good! i and know he’s already there. i can’t wait for the day when he finally realizes that he’s not the monster he believes himself be. <3 i’m excited!

ughhh. another binge-worthy, semi-comedic, power-trippy, visually gorgeous historical martial arts masterpiece in the making! it’s freakin’ EPIC, y’all. and this pure, anticipating, slowly-burning romance between these two…!!! ugh, i can’t. too sweet, too much wholesomeness… and awesomeness, too, i guess. but if that’s not all, we also have a ridiculously strong and intelligent female lead, a scary-looking but adorably awkward brute-like puppy of a male lead, as well as a generally healthy dose of martial arts, blood and violence to balance things out just right! i couldn’t have lucked out more with this one, you guys. it’s perfect. <33 (P.S. having literally just finished chapter 70, i’d honestly want nothing more than to curl into the deepest and loneliest part of myself and sob from the sheer BLISS of this gorgeous, gorgeous art! just excellent writing and artistry all around. i honestly can’t cope no more, i just can’t. #blessed) i don’t really have the energy to write anything else right now, though… just know that it’s freakin’ BANGIN’ and that i’ll be reading this very excitedly… and impatiently, heh. i suppose that’s a given!

this is just… freakin’ GORGEOUS. my god, i’m so in love. not just with our heavenly artillery general, dan sa yu… but the general atmosphere and the art in itself as well. it’s all gorgeous. i can’t wait to truly immerse myself in this! i’m only just starting out, after all. it’s most certainly going to be epic. edit: the fact that i’m literally holding in sobs by the end of each damn chapter at TWO IN THE MORNING… should tell you lots. dude, this is seriously incredible stuff. what a character he is. dan sa yu pretty much ‘rivaling’ sung jinwoo in regards to his serene, indifferent type energy that is just so FREAKIN’ ATTRACTIVE. he’s almost rivaling him in power, too. this is my favorite thing in the whole wide world, this power-trippy manhwa trope. it’s genius.

oh my god, i love this so much. talk about a literal power-couple!!! they’re literally freakin’ GODS, bro. and the sexual tension between them always kept me on my toes, too! such beautiful artistry… and complexity. win-win! but, in any case, i adore them to death. <33 this review ended up being way shorter than i think it deserves, but i’m weirdly busy right now, and my mind’s kinda drawing a blank at that. but just know that this one will DEFINITELY be reread by yours truly one day! i low-key miss them already, lol. i loved these characters.
