Demon Wants to Hug
simply… exquisite. ethereal, even! i mean, wow. that’s some gorgeous writing right there, and the art-style!!! ahhh, they’re both prime examples of outwardly, undeniably beautiful specimens. #blessed
Friend's Milk
LMFAO, this looks hilarious as hell!
The Pizza Delivery Man and The Gold Palace
this is so nice. i genuinely didn’t expect what i found… i thought one of them would be a troublemaker, gangster or something, lol. after all, they’re both just a pair of innocent, damaged babies!!! and they both deserve the world. <33 anyway, i love their dynamics!!! their chemistry’s great, and i quite appreciate their differences as well. they’re such different individuals… seo-an is so fucking attractive to me. putting all his psychological struggles aside, i think he’s a good guy. i really do empathize with him and woo-won—who’s ALSO a catch who doesn’t seem to have it all that easy, either. ughhh, they’ve both suffered so much for different reasons… but still, i’m just content knowing that they found comfort in each other, as well as happy about the fact that they ACTIVELY put in the effort to understand one another on a much deeper level. there’s nothing ‘shallow’ or insincere about their relationship, i feel like. (ahhh, i just love understanding partners!!!) slow-burns are just ONE. OF. THE. ABSOLUTELY. BEST. TROPES. heh. this is world-building with some great character development in store for the future, that’s for sure. can’t wait for season 2! it’s going to be great, i’m already properly convinced. edit: 40 chapters in and FINALLY some smut-potential. <33 edit #2: 41 chapters in and WE GOT UNCENSORED SMUT OMFGGGG. got me creaming myself, fml. that was hot. well, even though it (technically) was only a dream. can’t wait for the non-dream stuff, though. <33 the smutty panels we DID get were first-class.
My Secret Roommate
omfgggg, they’re so wholesome. I. LOVE. THEM. watching them grow closer and closer is such a blessing, really. <33 i’d probably rant even more if i didn’t feel like such a semi-braindead carp at the moment. nevertheless, i quite appreciate their undying loyalty and the sheer dedication they have for each other. such a sweet couple. the manhwa just kept getting better and better by the chapter, too! i feel like the ending was a somewhat abrupt and clean-cut, but it definitely wasn’t bad or anything of the sort—just a bit emotionally underwhelming, if anything. it would’ve been nice to read and see a little more of their domestic, lovey-dovey-newborn-baby lifestyle—anything beyond them going public with their marriage, really… but it is what it is, heh. i’ll be on the lookout for for an epilogue, though! maybe we’ll get lucky and be given a side-story or two. either way, we’ll just have to wait and see. <33
Eleceed
bro. i seriously fucking LOVE eleceed. 100% adore it. reading this is an absolute joy! i feel like i couldn’t even properly express just how sincere i am in that statement. ever since i started on this journey yesterday afternoon, i’ve been struggling with just the mere notion of taking small breaks to catch my breath—let alone spare a moment to update y’all on where my thoughts are at. now, i’m wholly up-to-date with its latest release, and i figured it’s time i gave it a proper mid-review! i mean… simply put, i’m mind-blown. definitely one of the best stories i’ve ever read. and i do mean EVER. (note that i’ve read a lot of them at this point in time, too.) i know i’ve said this before, but my standards are relatively high. knowing that, i’d still consider this story a top-tier, prime example of creativity, emotional engagement and commitment. 200+ chapters, and thus far, i’ve NEVER gotten bored. this is near-unheard of in my case—at least in recent times. it’s been a long time since i felt this… ‘captivated’ by a story. it’s compelling enough to make me want to binge hundreds of chapters in one go… truly, i never imagined i’d get so emotionally invested as i’ve become. although i probably should’ve realized, knowing it’s by the same creator as the one who brought the legendary ‘noblesse’ to life—which is STILL my favorite comic, of all time, to this very day. nor did i expect to grow so attached to these characters!!! it’s borderline unhealthy at this point, lololol. either way, the comedic aspects of this story are literally fucking genius. i’m not even kidding; i’m WHEEZING my way through this masterpiece at a quick pace. the dialogue’s fucking hysterical, and the outstanding art complements the overall reading experience so, so well—just like lyrics complements a song. can’t believe how fast i binged this thing... well, all the published chapters, at least. i’m still reeling from the aftershocks as i’m writing this, too, lololol. it’s most def quality content, no qualms about that. i literally CANNOT with these people. they’re so goddamn entertaining it hurts. it’s so funny i have to physically RETRAIN myself… from doing all sorts of weird things. (i won’t go into more detail than that.) in any case, i get chills all over my body and my heart just starts to THUMP THUMP THUMP every single time the action starts to get real, and that’s noooo exaggeration. (which happens a lot with this particular manhwa. this is a comedic fantasy action story, after all…. so yeaaaah.) SO. MUCH. DOPAMINE. like, dude!!! these people are SO. FUCKING. COOL. every single one of them, i kid you the fuck not. kayden (including casein nitrate, LMFAO) and jiwoo and kartein and wooin and jiyoung and jisuk and subin and seongha and inhyuk and arthur and freakin’ EVERYBODY!!! these characters are seriously among the most admirable and lovable and outstanding ones i’ve seen in a long time. they all deserve the world, babies. we must unite and protect them AT. ALL. COSTS. the unbiased, untainted, pure loyalty these guys have for each other… it jabs at my heart for all the right reasons. my god, my heart literally ACHES. i love them all, they’re the best. and i ADORE these friendship bonds!!! it’s wonderful to see them have such strong faith, respect and trust in each other. strength in numbers, indeed… but they’re equally as strong as individuals, too. they’ve just been constantly growing on me, ever since the very beginning—more snd more so by the chapter. it’s been such a blessing being able to see each and every one of these characters’ journeys and emotional growth. really can’t wait to continue in doing so, either! and if that’s not enough, us readers keeps being introduced to new, enthralling side characters all the time; all of whom have unique personalities and interesting traits. but, ehm, uhh… still. kayden’s just… next level enticing, man. it ain’t fair to the rest of ‘em. gotta keep it real with you guys, i’m sorryyyy. ;_; oh, and before i forget: the art is EXQUISITE. it’s literally a masterpiece. i need to buy the graphic novels or something, if there are any… i might even be inclined to learn korean one day if there aren’t any english translations available for purchase... that’d the extent of my obsession. i don’t even care anymore, i just know it’d be worth it. EVERYONE should be reading this. 10/10, would ABSOLUTELY recommend. such an emotional—yet wonderfully endearing—power trip that i fell in love with instantly. it’s just so unique, intriguing and refreshing! anyway. you know what else i love? the epic fighting scenes. they only grow more exciting and grand with time. and the buildups are NEVER letdowns, man... definitely should’ve taken screenshots, though. ughhh, i have no idea why i didn’t, honestly. it makes no sense to me, either. i haven’t seen such screenshot-potential since, like, noblesse or something. (heeheeheeee, i crack myself up.) there’ll always be pinterest, i guess… but, nevertheless, i thank you for coming to my TED-talk!!! this is, as i’ve already said, a clear new favorite of mine—for lots of different reasons. it’s rare coming across a story that continually pulls you in the more the deeper in you get. usually i’d experience a decline in either quality or plot at some point down the line, but this one hasn’t disappointed me at all this far. i might be biased (‘cause of noblesse) for all i know, but it was crazy good still! i’m completely in love. anyway!!! appreciate you for sticking around ‘til the very end of this review. i hope i managed to properly (or at least somewhat) express just how big of a mark this story has left on me in the name of manhwa and all that is holy. <3 P.S. can you tell how excited i am just by reading this??? this has pretty much been my ‘natural state’ ever since chapter 1, heh. no time to rest when the story’s so freakin’ good! seriously, though: a day will 100% come when i’ll choose to reread this perfectly executed manhwa. but, for now… i can die happy. ‘til my resurrection! side note: KARTEIN EXUDES SO MUCH FRANKENSTEIN ENERGY, I CAN’T COPE!!! even kayden has some of those vibes to him… ugh, it’s low-key making me emotional. i seriously need to go and reread noblesse ASAP, i can’t take it no more. P.S. would’ve added the ‘awkwardness overload’ tag if i had enough room for it, lmfao. it definitely belongs there!
Weak Hero
…the fact that some dumbasses choose to behave this way, abusing and looking down on others for no other reason than physical and mental domination, thinking they’re all cool and ‘badass’ for doing so… is legit so fucking infantile i could barf, ew. i can’t take any of them seriously. don’t know whether to laugh, snort or cry at this point. perhaps i’ll just do all three. it fits!!! “lOoK aT mEeEeEe, i bEaT uP a tEaCheR aNd rOdE oN a mOpEd ‘cAuSe i’M sO gAnGsTeR!!! i’M sUpEr cOoL!!!!!” *cries in lmfao* (this wasn’t even an important part of the story, either. i simply used it as reference since it was a good example of just how silly some of these adolescent ‘men’ are behaving.) this manhwa’s so much fun to read, though! i’m getting a whole lot of nice, explosive dopamine boosts as i’m reading this. and i get them damn often, too!!! really, i didn’t even know one could read such violently graphic comics on webtoon! i’m pleasantly surprised, i’ll admit... not at all disappointed. go get ‘em, gray & company!!! edit: i’ve now reread the whole thing (i’m fully caught up at chapter 240–excitedly awaiting updates), and this is soooo much better than i remembered it being! not just that, but it just keeps getting better and more intense by the chapter!!! excellent character development, for one… great world-building… and amazing emotional complexity, too! there’s so much one can take from this. honestly, i figured ’weak hero’ would just be one of those typical school-bullying, nerd-turns-boss type shit… but it’s actually so much deeper than that. other than the incessant fighting, it’s mainly a story about loyalty, friendship, strategy, corruption… and we’re even starting to enter the realm of politics now as well! man, i can’t WAIT for gray and donald’s final fight somewhere down the line, lol. it’s definitely heading our way!!! there’s absolutely NO. CHANCE. IN. HELL. that our two geniuses with infinite (?) potential in both strategizing and martial arts prowess… won’t ever go head to head. there’s just no way. i have no idea when—or how—it’ll happen… but it surely will. i’d be genuinely disappointed if it didn’t at this point. i mean, the manhwa’s already incredibly action-packed, well-drawn and enticing… but that’d be some next-level storytelling if you ask me, lol. either way, this is an excellent read! seeing this through was definitely a good decision on my part, and ’m really looking forward to see how their story ends. :) edit #2: DID MY BOY DONALD NA SERIOUSLY JUST FUCKING DIE ON ME??? stop. please tell me he didn’t. :( he had some of the best redemption arc potential i’ve get seen in a comic, what the hell??!!! this CAN’T be it… i’m gonna fucking cry if it is. no, no, no, no, NO. fuck this shit, i won’t accept it. P.S. i know he’s technically supposed to be ‘the final boss’ and all, but i truly can’t see him as one. there’s way too much depth, complexity and background information to solely paint him as the villain when he’s literally just a broken boy with a devastating past whose mere existence was cursed by existence itself. fuuuuck meeeee. donald deserved a real chance to heal and find himself. :( he was never going to hide behind this ‘bad boy persona’ of his forever… it wasn’t real and i motherfucking saw that!!! any reader who actually paid attention to the development of the story (and its characters) would see that, too… and they’d feel equally as shattered as i do right now. this is genuinely so upsetting to me. i don’t even know what to do with myself right now. i was so looking forward to him and gray bonding and eventually becoming best buds… the vibes were there, the groundwork was there, and the redemption arc was literally RIGHT. FUCKING. THERE!!! not fair if you, author. you took away my favorite character. (ಥ﹏ಥ) …but still, though donald na’s chapter WAS closed near damn impeccably, i’ll admit. i couldn’t have asked for a better send-off for my favorite character... i’m just so upset and needed to vent. i wanted to see him thrive and find happiness so, so badly… STOP. i’m gonna need a minute to process this… or two. or two-hundred and sixty-three. whatever. ༶ඬ༝ඬ༶ (please be a dream, please be a dream, please be a dream, please be a dream—)
A Night With The Emperor
i’d say it’s a pretty decent story for the infamous (aristocratic) isekai-genre! it started out a little too ‘abruptly‘ for my taste, i’m not gonna lie… however, i found that things started to get better the more i read, so that’s pretty fair. i would’ve given it a 4.5/5 rating if given the opportunity, though… :) (i’ll add more once i’ve finished it. i’m drained.)
The Princess is Evil
ahhhh, this is great!!! i’m enjoying myself much more than i thought i would. enough to make me want to buy the official chapters on tapas, heh. (definitely worth it.) in any case, i genuinely quite adore this family-that-wasn’t-a-family-until-recently dynamic!!! it’s a lot more wholesome than expected, too. these ever-growing familial bonds give me life. <33 also, character development game strong with this one. 10/10
