haha, sweeeet!! this one’s actually a lot better than i thought it’d be. hmmm. probably shouldn’t be reading the reviews beforehand, should i? well, at least i’m learning to remain unbiased! in any case, i think the story’s great overall, yet somewhat unique for the given trope and main genre. don’t get me wrong: i absolutely LOVE the clichés!!! (that’s why i’m here, after all.) still, i find this manhwa to be quite refreshing—plus the characters stand out quite a bit. they’re an entertaining bunch! i’m excited to keep going. :)

AHHHH, I LOVE THEM TOGETHER. this couple had such intense chemistry, like, literally from the get-go. awesome dynamics!!! and i also like how comfortable they’ve always been with each other. ughhh, i adore this woman to death, too!!! olivia’s amazing. i aspire to one day be on her level of… well, anything, really. the big queen energy’s strong so this one, i’m tellin’ ya. ian’s a genuine catch, too! a perfect match if i ever saw one, haha. side note: i appreciate the fact that they’re both on the same page in regards to children as well. what i mean by that is that whether they choose to have kids or not is irrelevant. it’s the fact that they opened up a direct line of communication and followed through with it. even if they end up changing their minds somewhere down the line, i’m just happy with the mere notion of seeing a healthy relationship at this point. the bar’s so goddamn low these days, y’all have no idea… anyway, it’s quite refreshing seeing a married couple of this particular genre actively choose to not have kids. i’d almost go as far as to say it’s a first for me. i could, but i won’t... ‘cause i can’t actually be sure. (i have read HUNDREDS of these.) :) i truly AM enjoying this manhwa, though—i’m sure you’ve noticed. it just keeps getting better and better, too! i mean, the end of the first season literally had me running around my house trying to calm myself down, lol. i was legit SEETHING. so fucking hard, too, man... ughh, that misogynistic entitlement kills me every single time…!!! the sheer AUDACITY of that northern trash… fuck me, i’m so glad she got out of there. sheesh. oh, just case you (james, was it?) didn’t even bother double-checking… ‘cause of how goddamn irrelevant he is. true story. SHE. IS. HER. OWN. PERSON. SHE. IS. NOT. YOUR. PROPERTY. whatshisname can fuck off for all i care, bleeeh… disgusting behavior, abusive piece of shit. the LEAST you can do is let olivia be happy with ian in this life!!! this james dude (was that seriously even his name?) may not have abused her in THIS life… yet. but he surely did in the last one… and them red flags are everywhere, too. i know it. she knows it. we won’t forget it. olivia deserves better. she FOUND better. aww, hell… i definitely have some proper appreciation for this one. <33 first of all, i LOVE this daddy-daughter relationship of theirs. it’s so effortlessly pure and sweet. i really do enjoy seeing them steadily grow into a true, wholesome family more and more! and this soon-to-be-wholesome relationship with her grandfather, too!!! can’t wait for that connection to blossom, too. (i can tell it’s heading our way, lol.) well, in any case: this is some gorgeous, enthralling writing with otherworldly, ethereal-looking art that enhance the overall reading experience. abso-fucking-lutely. excited to read more!

BEST. FEMALE. LEAD. EVER. (kinda random, but who cares.) if nothing else, she’s definitely one of the most lovable ones i’ve come across in my reading days. i mean, mel’s charisma is UNCANNY!!! her personality’s awesome and super original, too. also, you just gotta love her harem-that-isn’t-really-a harem as well; it’s surprisingly wholesome. whoever ends up being her true love-interest (i’m betting—and hoping—it’ll be isaac), it’ll be considered a win if my book, since they’re all pretty outstanding people in their own ways. dominic’s such a freakin’ babe, too… and the prince’s surprisingly sweet as well. ughhh. seriously… can’t i choose them all?! i’d approve, whatever. either way, she only deserves the best! if everyone were like her, the world would be a beautiful place. she’s surrounded by such amazing people! i absolutely adore the whole lot of ‘em. really didn’t expect to enjoy reading this as much as i’ve been doing… i’ll 100% be looking forward to see the update-notification pop up!

omfg this is so precioussss. i forgot how much i love this whole ‘wholesome family’ trope. it’s so freakin’ sweet. the pacing’s pretty excellent, too! the progression feels natural and not at all forced, which is always a huge bonus. in any case, we still have a looong way to go before things fall into place. can’t wait for season two!!!

man, how epic is this?! remind me again why i put this off for so long??? oh, wait, that’s right… not enough chapters to spend the whole day binging; that was it. oh well, lol. in any case, it’s probably one of the best martial arts comics i’ve come across. goddammit, i’ve grown attached to this family in such a short amount of time, too… ahhhh, i’m so excited to continue!!! this guy’s seriously OP. like, massively so. ‘return of the war god’, it says… ‘war god’ my ass, lol. he clearly left that semi-unhinged persona of his back with his old immortal pals from a millennia ago. i mean, i absolutely realize he remains same person with the same exact abilities and everything, but from the small bits and pieces of his past that we’ve gotten to see thus far, he almost feels like a whole different individual. aaaand, as much as i adore the whole monstrous-god-like-fighter-striving-for-vengeance trope, i really do appreciate this new happiness-seeking-family-oriented-living-in-the-moment version of the greatest warrior of all time. just… HOLY. FUCKING. SHIT, bro. he’s great and cool and sweet with his precious ones and i’m so in love with this guy!!! (and his fam, lol.) also, i know i’ve said similar things plenty of times before, but this is one of the most wholesome, effortlessly power-trippy martial arts manhwas i’ve read, i think… which says a whole damn lot, given the amount of these comics i’ve read these past 18 months. duan yuxian is next level martial EXCELLENCE, though—i kid you the fuck not. such an an admirable character. this current version of him, i mean… he really changed through those 1000 years of being sealed down at the bottom of that lake. and with the war god’s old reputation versus duan yuxian’s current one in mind, i’m quite excited for the day when people’ll finally realize his true identity. (the buildup is MURDERING me, man.) modern-day version of the war god’s definitely misunderstood, lol. (not that he’s doing anything to alter that reputation, but anywayyyy.) i’m low-key crushing on ANOTHER overpowered fictional character now, fml. it feels like i’m starting to get a bit repetitive now, oof. either way, this is 100% a new favorite! no question mark in sight, that’s for sure. <33

ohhh, this is quite different. i absolutely love it! i’m thoroughly enjoying this ‘slow-burn-that-isn’t-really-a-slow-burn’, and i’m really looking forward to reading more! our true ML’s a catch, that’s for sure. they’re going to be such a wholesome couple once they admit their feelings out loud, i just know it. edit: AHHHH, I LOVE THEMMMM. so glad i decided to reread it.
