The youngest son of the duke, an illegitimate kid leads a life of struggle as he becomes his brother's assassin and helps him in his schemes for power. At the last, he is betrayed by his brother, the person he had dedicated his life to and is killed. He opens his eyes, having gone back in time to when he was 7 years old. Burning with the need for revenge, mc speed-runs getting strong and prepares to do the exact opposite of what he did in his previous life. That is, to ruin his brother's shit at every possible turn. Once again MC is some old man in the body of a child. Complete with other children having crushes on him. Thank goodness mc displays not the slightest bit of interests in any of them, but still. Ick. Princess feels pretty end game which makes it more ick, though I'm not sure this isn't a harem, just with no emphasis on romance. A bunch of girls fall for mc, and he even gets a "daughter". The other love interests are actually pretty distinct in personality and useful to the plot most of the time. I kind of like all of them, even though I absolutely don't want any of them getting with our old man of an mc. The mystery and story are interesting, and thankfully the plot does mostly focus on that. The art is really good, I like it a lot, and the translation is mostly fine, though translations by different groups were uploaded so be ready for the old name shuffle and varying quality that comes with that. There's a lot of female characters, a surprising number, but it only serves to lend further credence to this being a harem in the end. Brian the knight is about the only non-woman character that isn't a villain/antagonist that's got a good relationship with protag-kun. I hate harems, but the story and art are good, so I'd recommend giving this a go anyhow. I'm wondering if thee daughter will get more development later, she's very much the weakest "character" so far, to the point where i put character in quotations because she honestly has no personality. She might as well be a pet at the point and she's barely in the story.

An orphan girl dies and is reincarnated into the novel she was reading before death. She reincarnates into a girl who has to pretend to be her twin brother and enlist in the army because, said twin brother decided to elope with his lover the day before enlistment. In a country where the whole family is in trouble if enlistee doesn't show up for enlistment, and the family already has debt and a sick father. MC joins the army and gets immediately entangled with the villain of the novel and the protagonist. This kind of sucks. MC tries her fucking best and pretty much everyone except her sick father is an asshole of the highest order. She wants to be happy with her family, well her dad since the brother up and abandoned her, and she's immediately being targeted by two guys who are pretty awful. I can't see this having a satisfactory ending where the love interest is redeemed enough for it to be ok for the romance to actually romance. The art isn't that great, and everyone takes stupid pills on the regular. MC can see the story is deviating and the people aren't who they seemed in novel she read ages ago, but she's unable to adapt to this knowledge. She's extremely strong, but doesn't really put her skills to use much at all and the art's not very good at depicting the action anyway, though it at least tries. I like the perspective switches they do in this, and the overall premise isn't totally bad, though pretty cliche, but it really really could have used a couple more drafts. The characters feel kind of childish rather than adults. The sick people are mostly props, and even if they eventually got cured I don't think they'd get any personality. Dad is just "kind man who has dementia and is mostly asleep 99.9% of the time". There's plenty of drama to be had from there without making the main couple have so many secrets and misunderstandings between them (all but one being the prince's). I hate the love triangle aspect of this too. Just all around unpleasant. I don't understand why the overall rating is so high, I don't recommend this, there's much better out there. Like Only Death Awaits the Villainess, etc.

This is a good story. I really like it. No rape! My low rating is because I'm feeling petty about the translation. The uploads say "official", I assumed that meant "official translation" and that simply is not true. For professional quality this is abysmal, and so that has to be a total lie. Words are constantly omitted out of sentences and the sentence structure itself is awkward and bad more often then not. An amateur did this, and while ordinarily this wouldn't be much of an issue as the story is legible, if awkward, the lie raises expectations for quality and, in my case at least, pisses me the fuck off with all the extra effort i have to take to understand what is being said. No this isn't word salad, but it sure as fuck isn't as good as the translation by some scanlation teams on this site. If what the uploader is saying is true, they are purchasing a craptastick translation from somewhere, or someone is making them pay for their subpar ass translation. Either way uploader is being ripped off, the english is barely passable and the person responsible did not do a good job worthy of their full paycheck. Certainly not repeat business. As I said before, the story itself is very good. A down on his luck alchemist is tasked with making a potion that will find the user their future marriage partner/true love. In testing his potion, the poor alchemist glimpses a man and then a boy. Not entertaining the idea that he could possibly be marrying a man in his future, he continues to work on his research until he meets the boy in the mirror. Things get complicated and our alchemist finds himself on an adventure to cure a curse, discover things about himself and come into his own. The love story is slow burn, so even at chapter 60 there's not that much progress in their relationship. The romance does develop organically so far, and i do like both halves of our couple. MC is smart, but not omnipotent. It's nice seeing him able to suss certain things out for himself, and his actions always seem justified as a result. ML is likewise interesting in his own right, though I could do with not quite so big a deal being made over the size of his dick. It's big, we get it. The joke is getting old. >_> The instant attraction between mc and ml is kind of explained in story, though neither mc or ml are aware of it. Certainly not mc, but ml should have his suspicions, and instead he seems to think nah, couldn't be that. I suppose the risk for properly confirming it would be pretty high, but then again his romantic pursuit of mc regardless of known risks should be turning on some light bulbs for him. At the beginning of the story MC helps a fortune teller who tells him the romance plot to come. Like literally, and MC just.... never thinks of it again?! Even after all the things the fortune teller told him would happen do! Well almost all of them, but still, enough happened already! Yet he doesn't think back to what the fortune teller said once! What even was the point? That scene could have been cut completely as it didn't serve any purpose at all! Not to the story, not in character development, not in exposition. Nothing. Why include it??? Anyway, story is good, translation is annoying, but the story is still worth reading. Cliff hanger at the end of chapter 60 is annoying, but it's still good. Would recommend, especially if you're alright with slow burn.

MC gets a mysterious invite to a game on his phone, he doesn't think much of it though he idly wonders if he downloaded a new game and forgot. He accepts and finds himself transported into a survival and dungeon raiding game, where he has extremely bad stats, and must manipulate and leech from the best players to survive. During this adventure he discovers a player who's been reincarnated and is on his second round of this life and game. Without letting anyone in on to this knowledge, he gets close to this returner and continues trying to survive and make things easy for himself. I like the art, the translation for the beginning chapters is all official translation, which makes it good, and the plot seemed interesting. Unfortunately the romances, that were kind of funny in the beginning began to grate on me. I would classify this as a harem, and am really not into that genre so I'm nope-ing out of this. To be fair, it isn't exactly a typical harem as MC isn't confused about his feelings for anyone for even a second, and it's clear everyone else except for maybe one of the girls is just a pawn to manipulate. Still the fact every girl is into him even though he's an ass is a bit annoying. Of course there are women who aren't into him like that, and because it's not full on romance I went along for over 50 chapters, but because the harem is part of the plot and does keep coming up, I got turned off the story. There's no egregious fan service in this, or contrived scenarios other than what mc himself set up, which is another reason why I got through so many chapters before deciding to drop this. I would suggest giving this story a go for yourself and making your own call. It's fun seeing mc's manipulations. Everyone else except arguably the returner are kind of psycho and scary too, so the reader isn't ever given a reason to full on hate mc for his manipulations. Some story arcs are a bit silly, but it's mostly in good fun anyway. Give it a try and see for yourself if you like it or not.
