REALLY GREW ON ME SOOOO MUCH. THEYRE SO IN LOVE IM TERRIBLY SICK. perfectly pulls of their seperate character archetypes (sadistic, intelligent, rich and mean seme + innocent normal naive uke) without making them feel like caricatures. the semi was very obviously a bit of an asshole but this was remedied by the story showing us his internalized thoughts and more specifically- his insecurities. his expression of the depth of his love and the fear he has of losing it balance out his sadistic and borderline selfish tendencies. you don’t particularly feel the uke is getting strung along by him. rather that the love between them and the love specifically from noe to kaede that he was never once coerced into. these are classic bl types and tropes but it’s very difficult to find one that is so well executed with such sympathetic and likable characters. 9.8/10
