Setagaya Synchronicity
Start: 07/23/25 || Ended: 06/20/25 I've been lied to. People/Manga Updates telling me this was heartwarming can kick rocks. I was already hesitant because of the cheating protag tag and I do not ever side with a cheater UNLESS the person they're currently with is a piece of shit. Instead they gave me one of the most loving, charring, supportive girlfriends I've ever seen???? I think the justification comes when Mai explains, a little confusingly, might I add, that she had a feeling that he might not be fully in love with her while also maybe be into men and that she had hoped to change that part of him. Yes, this is biphobic and fucked up but I do think because of the type of character Mai is and how supportive and charring she, if this was a poly romance she would've become more open to him being bi. But I also think that's only half of it. With her already feeling like Takafumi wasn't fully here even though he was trying and she was already falling out of love with him even though she was trying made her realized that their relationship wasn't going anywhere. So even if this was a poly romance they would've broken up anyway. Shrug emoji, I guess. I did not like that she was the ONLY person who apologize at the end. I didn't really give a shit about Miharu. I never found myself caring about Takafumi also so their chemistry was nonexistent to me. It was not the heartwarming emotional time I wanted to have.
Junjou
Started - ? || Paused - ? || Dropped - 03/16/25 I've only read volume 1 way back, I mean waaaay back as a teenager and I remember not vibing with it very well but also feel like they had to be more and didn't know June dropped it. While I don't remember everything in the first volume, I'm actually really glad that I didn't continue it looking at the tags on manga updates.
Shoushin Otoko ni Haru no Arashi
Eh, it's ok. It's a little too simple and slow for me and how big the age gap was (one dude was at the tail end of 19 while the other was 33 I think) was kind of weird to me, but there was nothing too creepy or straight up fetish-y about it like some other age gap stories I've unfortunately read. It's just kind of slow and sweet and absolutely nothing at the same time. That being said, I'll still buy this. At the end of the day, it was cute at a 3 star level and that's enough to take myself over to cdjapan.
The End of the World, With You
I'm both sad and disappointed. I was gonna update this with more but, really, nothing about this made me want to keep reading and I hate both the main characters. update 2025: ........ ok but what if i pick it back up though...?
Owarenakatta Koi no Hanashi
Start: 10/20/25 || Ended: 10/22/25 They’re cute, this was cute, but it was also nothing. I don’t think I really cared about these two as much as I wanted to by the end of the story. It gave me that “if only there was one more volume” because I finally found myself wanting more of them at the end of the last chapter.
Mukuwarenai Koi no Uranaikata
