Usotsuki Kyoushi to Shinitagari
I normally have a rule about not reading student X teacher romances but this one was actually good. ***Spoiler thoughts *** I enjoyed this story a lot which surprised me. In general I basically never read the "Highschool student & Highschool teacher" tropes because I have some strong thoughts and feelings about it.** I believe relationships should be formed between people who are either peers or at least both of legal age to consent. In the "Student X Teacher" genre, there is a clear power imbalance and one of the parties is underage. Sometimes stories will have the high school student wait to have sex with the teacher till they graduate. But that still feels like grooming. Age gaps can be very tricky. To me, a 30-year-old dating a 40-year-old has had the adequate life experience to know what they want in life and to set their own boundaries. But I wouldn't feel ok about a 13-year-old dating a 23-year-old. Or even a 18-year-old dating a 28-year-old. But that is just my own personal feelings, I know that there are many happy healthy relationships formed between people with an age gap, but I don't like to see the younger participant being in highschool. **(These are my own personal opinions, not intended to offend anyone else.)
